The 2024 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship was the 58th edition of the Individual Ice Speedway World Championship, organised by the FIM. [1]

Contents

Martin Haarahiltunen of Sweden won the World Championship series for the third consecutive year. [2]

The leading Russian riders remained banned. The ban related to the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme restrictions imposed on Russian and Belarusian motorcycle riders, teams, officials, and competitions as a result of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. [3]

It was the first time an official FIM international pairs competition was staged since the World Pairs Championship ceased in 1993. Australia are the current champions after winning in 2022. The Speedway of Nations was not held in 2023 due to the return of the Speedway World Cup, but will return to the speedway calendar in 2024 and 2025.

The 2021 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship was the 56th edition of the FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship season. Due to the continuing issues regarding the COVID-19 pandemic it was decided to hold a two-day final at the Anatoly Stepanov Stadium in Tolyatti, Russia, on 13 and 14 February 2021.

The 2022 Speedway Grand Prix season was the 28th season of the Speedway Grand Prix era, and decided the 77th FIM Speedway World Championship. It was the first series promoted by Discovery Sports Events.
