The 2019 Ice Speedway of Nations was the 41st edition of the FIM's Ice Speedway World Championship for national teams and the first in its re-branding as the Ice Speedway of Nations. [1] The event was held at the Anatoly Stepanov Stadium in Togliatti, Russia. [2]

Contents

Russia won their 17th consecutive world title and also won the title for the 37th time (including Soviet Union) during the 41 years that the championships have been held. [3]

The 2010 FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship was the 2010 version of FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship season. The world champion was determined in nine finals in five cities between 6 February and 21 March 2010. The championship title was won by the defending champion Nikolay Krasnikov, who won seven of nine events. It was his sixth world champion title. The silver medal was won by Daniil Ivanov, who won the other two events. Dmitry Khomitsevich was third. The top five placing riders were from Russia. The first not-Russian rider was Franz Zorn from Austria.

The 2010 FIM Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 32nd edition and the 2010 version of FIM Team Ice Racing World Championship season. The Final was held in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Oblast, Russia on 30–31 January 2010. The championship was won by Russia, who they beat Sweden and Austria.

The 2014 Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 36th edition of the Team World Championship. The final was held on 8/9 February, 2014, in Tolyatti, Russia. Russia won their 12th consecutive title and 20th title overall.

The 2015 Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 37th edition of the Team World Championship. The final was held on 28 February and 01 March, 2015, in Berlin, Germany. Russia won their 13th consecutive title and 21st title overall.

The 2016 Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 38th edition of the Team World Championship. The final was held on 13/14 February, 2016, in Tolyatti, Russia. Russia won their 14th consecutive title and 22nd title overall.

The 2017 Team Ice Racing World Championship was the 39th edition of the Team World Championship. The final was held on 11/12 March, 2017, in Inzell, Germany. Russia won their 15th consecutive title and 23rd title overall.

The 2018 FIM Ice Speedway World Championship was the 53rd edition of FIM Individual Ice Racing World Championship season. The world champion was determined by ten races hosted in five cities Astana, Tolyatti, Berlin, Inzell and Heerenveen between 3 February and 8 April 2018. The Championships were sponsored by Lukoil.

The FIM Ice Speedway of Nations, formerly known as the Ice Speedway Team World Championship, is an international ice speedway competition, first held in Kalinin (Tver), USSR, in 1979. Since its establishment, the tournament has been noted by a continued Russian dominance: the Soviet Union, Commonwealth of Independent States and Russia have won all but three tournaments. The only non-Russian teams to have won were West Germany in 1983, and Sweden - in 1985, 1995 and 2002.
