Kateryna Kozlova was the defending champion, having won the event in 2012, but lost in the semifinals to Marta Sirotkina.
Claire Feuerstein was the defending champion but lost in the quarterfinals to Anna-Lena Friedsam.
Kimiko Date-Krumm was the defending champion, having won the event in 2012, but decided not to compete in 2013.
Monica Niculescu was the defending champion, but retired in the quarterfinals against Carla Suárez Navarro.
Klára Zakopalová won the title, defeating Garbiñe Muguruza in the final, 4–6, 7–5, 6–0.
Nadiia Kichenok was the defending champion, but lost in the first round to Akgul Amanmuradova.

The Kichenok sisters went on to win the title, defeating Liang Chen and Wang Yafan in the final, 6-4, 7-6(8-6).
Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka defeated Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková in the final, 6–2, 6–3, to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. It was their second major doubles title as a team, after the 2019 US Open. With the win, Sabalenka claimed the world No. 1 doubles ranking.
Ashleigh Barty and Jennifer Brady defeated Desirae Krawczyk and Bethanie Mattek-Sands in the final, 6–4, 5–7, [10–5], to win the doubles tennis title at the 2021 Stuttgart Open. By winning her 12th career WTA Tour doubles title, Barty became the first player since Lindsay Davenport in 2001 to sweep both tournaments in Stuttgart. This was also Brady's first career WTA Tour doubles title.

Anna Kalinskaya and Caty McNally defeated Alicja Rosolska and Erin Routliffe in the final, 6–3, 6–7(5–7), [10–4] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2022 St. Petersburg Ladies' Trophy.
Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula in the final, 2–6, 6–3, 6–2 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2022 French Open. It was their second French Open title as a team. Mladenovic extended her winning streak at the event to 18 consecutive match wins and three titles, having last lost in the quarterfinals of the 2018 tournament.
Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated the defending champion Elise Mertens and her partner Zhang Shuai in the final, 6–2, 6–4 to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. It was their second Wimbledon title together and fifth major title together overall.
This was the first edition of the tournament as a WTA 125 tournament.
Harriet Dart and Asia Muhammad were the defending champions but Dart chose not to participate.
Defending champion Natela Dzalamidze and her partner Viktória Kužmová defeated Anna-Lena Friedsam and Nadiia Kichenok in the final, 4–6, 7–5, [12–10] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2023 Linz Open.
Erin Routliffe and Aldila Sutjiadi defeated Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez in the final, 6–4, 3–6, [10–8] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2023 ATX Open.
Anna-Lena Friedsam and Nadiia Kichenok defeated Anna Kalinskaya and Yulia Putintseva in the final, 7–6(7–3), 6–3 to win the doubles title at the 2023 Japan Women's Open. Both teams saved match points en route to the final: Friedsam and Kichenok saved three in their first-round match against Alicia Barnett and Olivia Nicholls, while Kalinskaya and Putintseva saved two in their first-round match against Yuki Naito and Moyuka Uchijima.
