The 2024 Lalitpur Mayor Women's Cup was the fourth edition of the Lalitpur Mayor Women's Cup, the premier Twenty20 cricket tournament in Nepal. [1] The tournament had 5 teams including Lalitpur Mayor's XI along with 4 teams that reached the semi-finals of the Prime Minister's Cup Women's T-20 National Tournament. The Lalitpur Mayor's XI team is formed from the players of remaining four provinces that did not reach the semi-finals of Prime Minister's Cup. All team play with each other's in round-robin format with top two team advancing to the finals.

Nepal A.P.F. Club were the defending champion having won the all three previous editions. [2] [3]

Nepal A.P.F. Club (APF) Club women have clinched the title of Lalitpur Mayor’s Cup Women’s Tournament 2024. [4] They won their fourth consecutive title of the Lalitpur Mayor Women's T20 championship at the TU Cricket Ground by defeating Sudurpashchim Province by 2 runs in the final. [5]

The 2021 Everest Premier League, also known as EPL4 or Bajaj Pulsar EPL for sponsorship reasons, was the fourth edition of the Everest Premier League, a professional men's domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Nepal. The event was initially scheduled for December 2019, before being postponed multiple times. Lalitpur Patriots were the defending champions, having won their first title in 2018, but were eliminated in the group stage after finishing fifth.

The 2021 Prime Minister Cup was the fourth edition of the Prime Minister One Day Cup, the premier one-day cricket tournament in Nepal. The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven Provinces of Nepal as well as three departmental teams. It began on 15 January 2021 and ended on 30 January 2021. All matches of the tournament were broadcast live by DishHome's "Action Sports" channel. Nepal Police Club were the defending champions, but were eliminated at the semi-final stage by Armed Police Force Club. Tribhuwan Army Club won the title following a 33-run win over APF Club in the final.

The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

The 2023 ACC Women's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the inaugural edition of the ACC Women's T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup played in Hong Kong in June 2023, with all the matches held at the Mission Road Ground in Kowloon. Eight teams took part in the tournament, including the A teams of four nations with ODI status and the next four top associate teams. The tournament was organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

The 2023 ACC Men's Premier Cup was a cricket tournament which took place in April and May 2023. It was the inaugural edition of the ACC Men's Premier Cup, and it served as the final stage of qualification for the 2023 Asia Cup tournament. It was held in Nepal, with the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground and Mulpani International Cricket Ground hosting matches. The Nepal women's national cricket team toured Malaysia in May and June 2023 to play five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. All of the matches were played at the UKM-YSD Cricket Oval in Bangi. The 2024 ACC Men's Premier Cup was the second edition of ACC Premier Cup, took place in April 2024. It served as the final stage of qualification for the 2025 Asia Cup Tournament. UAE won the tournament by defeating Oman in the final, and thus qualified for the 2025 Asia Cup. It featured the 8 highest-ranked ACC associate members who were joined by two finalists from 2024 ACC Men's Challenger Cup.

The participating teams were the hosts Malaysia along with Hong Kong, Kuwait and Nepal. All the matches were played at Bayuemas Oval in Klang. The tournament formed part of the preparation of all four teams for the 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier tournament.

The 2023 Nepal Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International cricket tournament, took place in October 2023 in Nepal. The participating teams were Nepal, Hong Kong and the United Arab Emirates. The tournament formed part of all the three teams' preparations for the Asia World Cup Qualifier.

The 2023 KP Oli Cup was the inaugural edition of the KP Oli Cup, the domestic T20 tournament in Nepal. The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven Provinces of Nepal, three departmental teams as well as two organizer teams. It began on 23 November 2023 and ended on 1 December 2023.

The tournament was contested by teams representing the seven Provinces of Nepal as well as one departmental teams. It began on 21 December 2023 and end on 3 January 2024. The format was changed for the 2023–24 season, with the eight teams competing in a round-robin format with the top four advancing to the play-offs.

The 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series was the first round of the 2024–2026 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 cricket tournament took place in Nepal in February 2024. The tri-nation series was contested by the men's national teams of Namibia, Nepal and Netherlands. The matches were played as One Day International (ODI) fixtures.

The Canada men's cricket team toured Nepal in February 2024 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches against Nepal. For Nepal, the series provided the preparation for the 2024 Nepal Tri-Nation Series. In January 2024, the Cricket Association of Nepal announced the bilateral series as a part of Nepal's cricket calendar for 2024.

The tournament will be played in three different venues.
