The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Sub-regional Qualifier A was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup. It was hosted by Italy in June 2024. [1] [2]

Contents

The winners of the tournament, Italy advanced to the regional final, [3] where they will be joined by Netherlands and Scotland who were given a bye after having participated in the previous T20 World Cup, and two other teams from sub-regional qualifiers B and C. [4] [5]

The 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of qualification process for the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup. Twelve regional qualifiers were held by the International Cricket Council (ICC), with 62 teams competing during 2018 in five regions – Africa, Americas (2), Asia (2), East Asia Pacific (2) and Europe (3). The top 25 sides from these progressed to five Regional Finals in 2019, with seven teams then going on to compete in the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier, along with the six lowest ranked sides from the ICC T20I Championship.

The 2022 ACA Africa T20 Cup was a cricket tournament played in Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa. The finals tournament were originally scheduled to be held in September 2019, but were moved to March 2020, with the original host city being Nairobi, Kenya. On 9 March 2020, the tournament was postponed again due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in line with the Kenyan government's 30-day ban on international gatherings. The tournament was eventually rescheduled for September 2022.

The first stage of the qualification pathway in the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) region consisted of two sub-regional qualifiers: Qualifier A in Vanuatu in September 2022, and Qualifier B in Japan in October 2022.

The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Americas Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the Americas region was the sub-regional qualifier, played in Argentina between 25 February and 4 March 2023. The top three teams in the sub-regional qualifier progressed to the Americas regional final, which was played in Bermuda between 30 September and 7 October 2023, where they were joined by Canada, who competed in the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A in Oman. The winner of the Americas Regional Final qualified for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The West Indies and the United States, qualified for the World Cup as hosts.

The 2023 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

The 2023 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup. In an expanded qualification pathway for women's cricket in Europe, this was the first time that a second division was included. The first stage of the tournament was Division Two, held in Jersey in May and June 2023. Six teams played in Division Two, with the top two sides progressing to Division One, which was played in Spain in September 2023. The top two teams in Division One advanced to the 2024 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier along with Ireland, Sri Lanka and six other regional qualifiers.
