The Bangladesh men's cricket team toured the United States in May 2024 to play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the United States national team. [1] [2] The series formed part of both teams' preparation ahead of the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. [3] [4] In March 2024, USA Cricket confirmed the fixtures for the tour. [5]

This was the first bilateral series between the two teams. [6] Bangladesh had last toured the United States in 2018, as part of a series against West Indies. [7]

United States won the first match of the series by 5 wickets. [8] This was their first match, and first victory, against Bangladesh. [9] Bangladesh became the first team to suffer from 100 men's T20I defeats in the second match, [10] as United States won the match by 6 runs and secured their first series victory against a full member team. [11] United States eventually won the series 2–1 after Mustafizur Rahman's six-wicket haul helpied Bangladesh win the third match by 10 wickets. [12] It was Bangladesh's first victory by 10 wickets in the format. [13]

United States named Juanoy Drysdale, Yasir Mohammad and Gajanand Singh as reserves. [17] Taskin Ahmed was ruled out of the Bangladesh squad for the series due to injury. [18]

The 2016 Asia Cup was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Bangladesh from 24 February to 6 March 2016. It was the 13th edition of the Asia Cup, the fifth to be held in Bangladesh, and the first to be played using the T20I format. Bangladesh hosted the tournament for the third consecutive time after 2012 and 2014. Micromax was the main sponsor of the tournament after 2012.

The Zimbabwean cricket team toured Bangladesh in November 2015. In January 2016 the BCB confirmed a further four T20I matches to be played later the same month in Bangladesh as preparation for the Asia Cup and the World Twenty20.

Muhammad Ahsan Ali Khan is a Pakistani-born American professional cricketer. He has played for the United States national cricket team since 2016 as a right-arm fast bowler. He has also played franchise Twenty20 cricket in the West Indies, Pakistan, India and the United Arab Emirates.

Saurabh Naresh Netravalkar is an American cricketer and software engineer who plays for the United States team. He is a left-arm medium-fast bowler who represented the India under-19 team. He made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the 2013–14 Ranji Trophy on December 22, 2013. He made his List A debut on February 27, 2014, for Mumbai in the 2013–14 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It was co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from 1 to 29 June 2024; the tournament being hosted by the West Indies for the second time, while this was also the first major ICC tournament to feature matches played in the United States.

The England cricket team toured Bangladesh in March 2023 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. It was the first bilateral T20I series between the two teams, and England's first tour of Bangladesh since 2016.

The Sri Lanka cricket team toured Bangladesh in March and April 2024 to play two Test, three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series formed part of the 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship. The fixtures for the tour were confirmed in February 2024.
