The Indian cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July 2024 to play five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. [1] [2] In February 2024, the Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) confirmed the fixtures for the tour. [3] [4]

On 26 June 2024, Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out due to injury and was replaced by Shivam Dube. [7] Harshit Rana, Jitesh Sharma and Sai Sudharsan were named as replacements for Shivam Dube, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson for the first two T20Is. [8] [9]

  • Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to field.
  • Riding on a brisk 58 by Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube quickfire 26, India put on 167/6. Blessing Muzarabani scalped two wickets for the hosts. Blessing Muzarabani, meanwhile, was the hosts’ best bowler, with a spell of 2/19 in four overs. Sikandar Raza, Richard Ngarava and Brandon Mavuta also picked up a wicket each.
  • The hosts lost wickets at regular intervals during the chase and could not match the required run rate. Despite Dion Myers gritty 34, the 12th-ranked T20I team was bundled out for 125 in 18.3 overs.
  • Mukesh Kumar inflicted early damage on the hosts with two wickets in his first two overs. The 30-year-old Indian pacer narrowly missed out on a third in his next over after Tadiwanashe Marumani was bowled on a no-ball.
  • Four overs later, Myers, who made a T20I career-best 65 on Saturday, was caught off Dube’s bowling after a 32-ball 34 while the hosts still needed 82 runs in 42 balls. After Raza was run out in the 14th over, the wickets kept tumbling.
  • Faraz Akram failed to keep the hosts in the game despite a swashbuckling 13-ball 27. Mukesh scalped two wickets in two balls as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 125 in 18.3 overs. He registered career-best T20I figures of 4/22 while Dube picked up two wickets.
  • Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar, who picked up eight wickets from the five matches with a miserly economy of 5.16, was named the Player of the Series.

Sikandar Raza Butt is a Pakistani-born Zimbabwean international cricketer. He is an all-rounder, who bats right-handed and bowls right arm off-spin. He made his international debut for Zimbabwe in May 2013.

The Indian cricket team toured Zimbabwe from 10 to 19 July 2015. The tour consisted of three One Day International matches and two Twenty20 Internationals. All the matches were played in Harare. India won the ODI series 3–0 and the T20I series was drawn 1–1. Zimbabwe's win in the second T20I match was their first Twenty20 win over India.

Shivam Dube is an Indian international cricketer who plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm at medium pace. He made his international debut for the India cricket team in November 2019. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 2024 T20 World Cup, and played a crucial knock of 27 runs out of 16 balls at strike rate of 168.75 in the final against South Africa.

Abhishek Sharma is an Indian international cricketer who plays for Punjab in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. He made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 February 2017. He made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 6 October 2017.

The India cricket team toured England between July and September 2018 to play five Tests, three One Day International (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20Is) matches. India also played a three-day match against Essex in July at Chelmsford.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2018 Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series</span> International cricket tournament

The 2018 Zimbabwe Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament held from 1 to 8 July 2018 in Zimbabwe. It was a tri-nation series between Australia, Pakistan and Zimbabwe, with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at the Harare Sports Club. In the fourth T20I, Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by seven wickets, therefore Australia and Pakistan qualified for the final. Pakistan defeated Australia in the final by six wickets to win the series.

The 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in September 2019. It was a tri-nation series featuring Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

The Bangladesh cricket team toured India in November 2019 to play two Test and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. It was the second time that Bangladesh toured India to play a Test series, and the first time that Bangladesh played a T20I series against India in India. The Test series also featured the first day/night match to be played by either side.

The India cricket team toured New Zealand from January to March 2020 to play two Tests, three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The Test series formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. New Zealand Cricket confirmed the fixtures for the tour in June 2019.

The 2019–20 Singapore Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that was held from 27 September to 3 October 2019 in Singapore. It was a tri-nation series featuring Singapore, Nepal and Zimbabwe, with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Singapore used the series to prepare for their first appearance in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier in October 2019. It was the first T20I tri-series to be played in Singapore.

The Afghanistan cricket team toured Zimbabwe in June 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In April 2022, Zimbabwe Cricket confirmed the fixtures for the tour. The following month, the tour itinerary was changed slightly, bringing the matches forward by one week and reducing the number of T20Is from five to three.

The Pakistan cricket team toured Zimbabwe in April and May 2021 to play two Tests and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The tour of Zimbabwe followed on from Pakistan's tour of South Africa. On 28 March 2021, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the tour itinerary, with all the matches being played behind closed doors in Harare.

The Bangladesh cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July 2021 to play one Test, three One Day International (ODI), and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Bangladesh last toured Zimbabwe in April and May 2013. Originally, two Test matches were scheduled to be played on the tour, but one of the Tests was replaced with an additional T20I match.

The Bangladesh cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July and August 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The original tour schedule was for two Test matches and three ODIs, but the Test matches were replaced by the T20I fixtures. All the matches took place at the Harare Sports Club. Prior to the series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) named Nurul Hasan as their T20I captain for the tour, after Mahmudullah lacked performance and results. However, Nurul suffered a finger injury during the second T20I match and was ruled out of the rest of the tour. The BCB named Mosaddek Hossain as the team's captain for the third T20I match.

The 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament, which was played as part of qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.

The Ireland cricket team toured Zimbabwe in December 2023 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The T20I series formed part of Ireland's preparation for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament.

The Australia women's cricket team toured India from December 2023 to January 2024 to play one Test, three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.

The Zimbabwe cricket team toured Sri Lanka in January 2024 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The T20I series was part of Sri Lanka's preparation for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament.

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Group stage was played in four groups of five teams. The top two teams from each group advanced to the Super 8 stage.
