Dion Myers (born 21 March 2002) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He made his international debut for the Zimbabwe cricket team in July 2021. [1]
Myers made his first-class debut on 9 December 2020,for Mountaineers,in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. [2] Prior to his first-class debut,he was named in Zimbabwe's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [3] He made his Twenty20 debut on 10 April 2021,for Mountaineers,in the 2020–21 Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20 Competition. [4] He made his List A debut on 18 April 2021,for Mountaineers,in the 2020–21 Pro50 Championship. [5]
In May 2021,he earned his maiden call up to the Zimbabwe A cricket team for the List A series against South Africa A. [6] In the first match of the series,he scored 96 runs,which was also his first half-century in List A cricket. [7]
In July 2021,Myers was named in Zimbabwe's Test squad for their one-off match against Bangladesh. [8] He made his Test debut on 7 July 2021,for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh. [9] In July 2021,Myers was named in Zimbabwe's One Day International (ODI) squad,also for their series against Bangladesh. [10] Myers made his ODI debut on 16 July 2021,for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh. [11] After the conclusion of the ODI matches,Myers was also named in Zimbabwe's Twenty20 International (T20I) for the matches against Bangladesh. The Bangladesh cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July 2021 to play one Test,three One Day International (ODI),and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Bangladesh last toured Zimbabwe in April and May 2013. Originally,two Test matches were scheduled to be played on the tour,but one of them was removed in place of an extra T20I match.

The Bangladesh cricket team toured Zimbabwe in July and August 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The original tour schedule was for two Test matches and three ODIs,but the Test matches were replaced by the T20I fixtures. All the matches took place at the Harare Sports Club. Prior to the series,the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) named Nurul Hasan as their T20I captain for the tour,after Mahmudullah lacked performance and results. However,Nurul suffered a finger injury during the second T20I match and was ruled out of the rest of the tour. The BCB named Mosaddek Hossain as the team's captain for the third T20I match.
