Shayan Jahangir (born 24 December 1994) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who currently plays for the United States national cricket team. [1] [2] He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper.

Domestic and franchise career

He made his first-class debut for Pakistan International Airlines in the 2014–15 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 12 October 2014. [3] In July 2020, he was named in the Barbados Tridents squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League (CPL). [4] [5] He made his Twenty20 debut on 5 September 2020, for the Barbados Tridents in the CPL. [6]

International career

Jahangir played seven youth one-dayers for the Pakistan national under-19 cricket team in 2013. [7]

In January 2021, USA Cricket named Jahangir in a 44-man squad to begin training in Texas ahead of the 2021 Oman Tri-Nation Series. [8] [9] In November 2022, Jahangir made his ODI debut for USA against Namibia. [1]

Jahangir made his first ODI century against Nepal in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe, scoring 100 not out from 79 balls from seventh in the batting order. [10]

Naseem Shah is a Pakistani international cricketer. In October 2019, at the age of 16, he was called up to the Pakistan cricket team for their Test series against Australia. The 2020 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) or for sponsorship reasons, Hero CPL 2020 was the eighth season of the Caribbean Premier League, the domestic Twenty20 cricket league played in the West Indies. All matches were played in Trinidad and Tobago. The tournament started on 18 August and ended on 10 September 2020. On 10 July 2020, the local government gave its approval for the tournament to go ahead, with all the matches taking place at two venues behind closed doors. The full schedule for the tournament was confirmed on 27 July 2020. On 6 August 2020, an official press release stated that all players, officials and administrators involved in the league had tested negative on arrival ahead of a two weeks quarantine period.
