On 5 September 2023, the French Federation confirmed their plans to host the World Championship for the first time since 2017, with matches in Paris and Lyon after discussions about a potential co-host with Great Britain fell through. On 9 February 2024, Kazakhstan filed another bid for the championship after losing to Germany for 2027. [8] Similar to 2027, the proposed venues were in Astana and Almaty. [9] The bid was withdrawn before the final decision on 9 May. [10]

After withdrawing from the 2027 bidding process, Norway considered bidding for 2028. [11] However, this didn't materialise due to financial reasons. [5]

The Greater Los Angeles area is home to many professional and collegiate sports teams and has hosted many national and international sporting events. Between them, these Los Angeles area sports teams have won a combined 105 championship titles. Los Angeles area colleges have produced upwards of 200 national championship teams.
The 2011 IIHF World Championship was the 75th IIHF World Championship, an annual international men's ice hockey tournament. It took place between 29 April and 15 May 2011 in Slovakia. The games were played in the Orange Arena in Bratislava, and the Steel Aréna in Košice. The Czech team was the defending champion.
Three cities applied with bids to host the 2018 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in October 2009. The International Olympic Committee, under the leadership of Jacques Rogge, received three bids on October 15, 2009. Four bids came before the deadline, 9 March 2009, which were France, Italy and Turkey as single bids and Norway and Sweden as a joint bid. The arena is located in the north of punched Ryskulov Avenue, to the west from Momyshuly street in the Alatau District.
