A9 TV was a Turkish television station that started broadcasting on March 21, 2011 via Turksat satellite television channel broadcasting. Much of the programming includes religious and English language content, with an emphasis on creationism over evolution and Darwinism. [1] A substantial amount of content features Islamic creationist and cult leader Adnan Oktar (also known as Harun Yahya). Adnan Oktar, also known as Adnan Hoca or Harun Yahya, is a Turkish religious sex cult leader, creationist/anti-evolutionist, conspiracy theorist, preacher, pamphleteer, and "worldwide celebrity". In the 2000s, he was engaged in "a massive campaign" of proselytizing" Westerners to Islam, producing dozens of cheap, short, vividly illustrated books in the languages of Europe and the Muslim world. As of March 2022, he is awaiting retrial on several sex and financial charges.
KSTU is a television station in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, affiliated with the Fox network. It is owned by the E. W. Scripps Company alongside Provo-licensed Ion Television owned-and-operated station KUPX-TV. KSTU's studios are located on West Amelia Earhart Drive in the northwestern section of Salt Lake City, and its transmitter is located on Farnsworth Peak in the Oquirrh Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City. İTÜ TV is the first Turkish television station. The first Turkish television broadcast occurred on July 9, 1952, from a station at Istanbul Technical University's electrical engineering department. Weekly two-hour broadcasts from ITU continued on an experimental basis, but by 1957 there were still fewer than 200 television receivers in Istanbul. ITU broadcasts continued until 1970, and in 1971 ITU's facilities and equipment were ordered to be transferred to the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, and ITU TV was closed down forever. By 1991, ITU TV was replaced by a new channel called Show TV.
