ACS Mersin is the name of a glass factory in Mersin, Turkey. ACS stands for Anadolu Cam Sanayii ("Anatolian Glass Industry")

The factory is at 36°51′50″N34°06′43″E / 36.86389°N 34.11194°E / 36.86389; 34.11194 in Yenitaşkent neighborhood to the north of the Turkish state highway D400-TR.svg D.400 which connects Mersin to Tarsus. Its distance to Mersin is about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi).

The factory was put into operation in 1969. In 1975, it was acquired by Şişecam Group of Companies. [1] In 1988, NNPB (narrow neck press and blow) technology was successfully used for the first time in Turkey at ACS. [2] Current annual glass production is 260 822 metric tons. The number of employees is 461. But after the planned instauration the annual production will rise to 366685 metric tons and the number of employees will increase to 483. [3]

Karacaoğlan River is a small river in Erdemli ilçe (district) of Mersin Province, Turkey. Its headwaters are around Tepeköy in the Toros Mountains. It has a number of names depending on the villages around such as; Şahna, Müğlü, Dikiner, Sandal, Kargıpınarı. In the lower reaches in Çukurova (Cilician) plains it is used for irrigation. During the post-rainy seasons its excess water flows over the cliffs to create a waterfall to the east of Elvanlı. The waterfall is a popular excursion area for Mersin citizens. Tekkadın ruins are a group of ruins in Mersin Province, Turkey. The name of the ruins is a local name meaning "single woman". The original name is not known. The ruins are in the rural area of Silifke ilçe (district) of Mersin Province at 36°29′19″N34°00′27″E. The visitors follow Turkish state highway D.400 and turn north in Atakent town. The ruins are about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) to Atakent. Distance to Silifke is 27 kilometres (17 mi) and to Mersin is 77 kilometres (48 mi).
