Eat Bulaga! is a Philippine television noontime variety show currently broadcast by TV5 and RPTV. Originally premiered on July 30, 1979, on the Radio Philippines Network, it is the longest-running noontime variety program in the Philippines with over 13,000 episodes. Produced by TVJ Productions, Inc. and led by the original hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon alongside Allan K., Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryan Agoncillo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Maine Mendoza, Miles Ocampo, Carren Eistrup, and Atasha Muhlach, collectively known as "Legit Dabarkads".

Kalyeserye was a soap opera parody segment that was aired live on the Filipino noontime variety show Eat Bulaga! on GMA Network. The show-within-a-show, as it had evolved, focused on AlDub, the fictional couple pairing of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza's "Yaya Dub" character in which the two only communicate through lip-syncing to various pop songs and movie audio clips as well as written messages, and interact only on the show's split-screen frame. Richards is usually based in Broadway Centrum studio of Eat Bulaga! in Quezon City, Metro Manila while Mendoza travels around to a different external location.

The first Philippines noontime variety television shows were influenced by the popularity of bodabil (vaudeville) in the first half of the 20th century. Majority of the noontime variety shows that aired on television were produced independently by blocktimers that pay a certain amount of time to television networks to air their program. Some TV networks though have managed to solely produce these kind of programs, with moderate success in terms of ratings and advertising revenues.
"Tamang Panahon" was a benefit concert and a special episode of Eat Bulaga!, as well as the 87th episode of its "Kalyeserye" portion that aired live on television in the Philippines and other countries on October 24, 2015 from the Philippine Arena. "Tamang Panahon" highlighted the no-restrictions meeting of the AlDub love team of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. The event experienced very high demand immediately after the concert's announcement, with ticket sales amounting to ₱14 million. All of the proceeds went to the construction of libraries that benefited schools in the Philippines and the Lumad.
TVJ Productions, Inc. is a Philippine media production company co-owned by Eat Bulaga! hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon and media company MediaQuest Holdings. The company was formed on June 7, 2023, after TVJ severed its ties with Television and Production Exponents, Inc., the former producer of Eat Bulaga! due to internal conflicts between TVJ and the new management.

It premiered on January 6, 2024 on the network's afternoon line up replacing Eat Bulaga!. The show concluded on March 2, 2024 with a total of 50 episodes.
