Adventures Of Jojo is a Bengali children action adventure film co-written and directed by Raj Chakraborty, based on Tongling, a novel written by Leela Majumdar. [1] [2] [3] It is inspired by the film "An Elephant's Journey" directed by Richard Boddington. The film was released on 21 December 2018 under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films. [4]
The plot revolves around the subject of tiger poaching and wildlife. Jojo, a young and school going boy aged 12, lives with his parents in Kolkata. He dreams of the wilderness and the animals in it. One day his parents go to Vellore to take his grandmother. Jojo goes to his uncle's home to Baropahari in Arunachal Pradesh. He befriends Shibu, a local boy of a similar age. Shibu is the son of a mahout who grew up in the midst of nature and is friendly with animals, especially an elephant named Noni. They make a mission to stop a gang of poachers from killing Chenghiz, a huge tiger who is seen as the protector of the forest. [5]

It plots a tragic love story between a 18 years old student Pallabi and a two-wheeler mechanic Krishna from Siliguri. Ecaping from her home, she goes to Kolkata with Krishna and gets married off. But Pallavi's family tracks them and brings them to Siliguri and all on a sudden brutally hits Krishna. After a long time, fate reunites them, where Pallavi is married with another man, having a child and Krishna has already gone mad due to his brain injury.

This movie is inspired on the life of Barun Biswas, a social activist and teacher. The film's music is by Indraadip Dasgupta in his second collaboration with Banerjee, with 2 additional tracks by Nilesh Dasgupta. The film was critically and commercially well received and the performances along with the direction was praised. Due to multiple creative differences, this was Sonali Banerjee's last film with Shree Venkatesh Films. Sonali Banerjee named the film Roshni after her sister who was raped and killed and said that the movie was a tribute to her. Throughout the years, the film has gained a cult status and is often regarded as Raj Chakraborty's best film.

Netaji is a Bengali biographical soap opera on the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose that premiered on 14 January 2019 and aired on Bengali GEC Zee Bangla. Based majorly on Udyata Kharga Subhash by Achintya Kumar Sengupta and produced by Surinder Films, the series stars Abhishek Bose in the eponymous role, with Basabdatta Chatterjee, marking her comeback on television, Dhruvajyoti Sarkar, Kaushik Chakraborty, Sriparna Roy, Debopriyo Sarkar, Sohan Bandopadhyay, Fahim Mirza appearing in other recurring roles. The show, produced by Shree Venkatesh Films initially starred child artists Abhirup Sen and Pritha Ghosh in lead roles. Guriya Jekhane Guddu Sekhane was a story of two orphans who grow up together in an orphanage in North Bengal. The show then starred Arya Dasgupta, Pratyusha Paul and Jeetu Kamal in lead roles. It ended on 14 March 2020 and got replaced by another SVF-produced show Prothoma Kadambini.
