Adventures Of Jojo is a Bengali children action adventure film co-written and directed by Raj Chakraborty, based on Tongling, a novel written by Leela Majumdar. [1] [2] [3] It is inspired by the film "An Elephant's Journey" directed by Richard Boddington. The film was released on 21 December 2018 under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films. [4]

Plot

The plot revolves with the subject of tiger poaching and wildlife. Jojo, a young and school going boy of 12, lives with his parents in Kolkata. He dreams of the wilderness and the animals in it. One day his parents go Vellore to take his grandmother. Jojo goes to his uncle's home to Baropahari in Arunachal Pradesh. He befriends with Shibu, a local boy of similar age. Shibu is the son of a mahout who grew up in the midst of nature and is friendly with animals, especially an elephant named Noni. They make a mission to stop a gang of poachers from killing Chenghiz, a huge tiger who is seen as the protector of the forest. [5]

Release

The official trailer 1 of the film was launched by SVF on 14 November 2018. [6] The official trailer 2 of the film was launched by SVF, fifteen days later on 1 December 2018. [7]

This film was theatrically released on 21 December 2018.

Proloy is a 2013 Indian Bengali crime thriller film written and directed by Raj Chakraborty, produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, starring Mimi Chakraborty, Saswata Chatterjee, and Paran Bandopadhyay. This movie is inspired on the life of Barun Biswas, a social activist and teacher. The film's music is by Indraadip Dasgupta in his second collaboration with Banerjee, with 2 additional tracks by Nilesh Dasgupta. The film was critically and commercially well received and the performances along with the direction was praised. Due to multiple creative differences, this was Sonali Banerjee's last film with Shree Venkatesh Films. Sonali Banerjee named the film Roshni after her sister who was raped and killed and said that the movie was a tribute to her. Throughout the years, the film has gained a cult status and is often regarded as Raj Chakraborty's best film.

<i>Netaji</i> (TV series) Bengali television soap opera about the life of Subhash Chandra Bose

Netaji is a Bengali biographical soap opera on the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose that premiered on 14 January 2019 and aired on Bengali GEC Zee Bangla. Based majorly on Udyata Kharga Subhash by Achintya Kumar Sengupta and produced by Surinder Films, the series stars Abhishek Bose in the eponymous role, with Basabdatta Chatterjee, marking her comeback on television, Dhruvajyoti Sarkar, Kaushik Chakraborty, Sriparna Roy, Debopriyo Sarkar, Sohan Bandopadhyay, Fahim Mirza appearing in other recurring roles. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting of the series was stalled. It was rumoured that along with Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni, this series will be axed the channel. Putting rest to such rumours, the shooting started from June 11, maintaining all safety protocols and fresh episodes started to air from June 15, 2020. The series started to air on 11 PM from July 7, 2020, giving space for another series Kadambini to be aired in the 08:30 PM slot. The show went off air on 1 August 2020. The show is dubbed in Hindi and currently forecasted on And TV.

Guriya Jekhane Guddu Sekhane was a story of two orphans who grow up together in an orphanage in North Bengal. The show then starred Arya Dasgupta, Pratyusha Paul and Jeetu Kamal in lead roles. It ended on 14 March 2020 and got replaced by another SVF-produced show Prothoma Kadambini.

Gumnaami is a 2019 Indian Bengali-language Factual film based on the true events directed by Srijit Mukherji, which deals with the mystery of Netaji's death, based on the Mukherjee Commission hearings and the book Conundrum written by Anuj Dhar and Chandrachur Ghose. It has been produced by Shrikant Mohta, Pranay Ranjan, and Mahendra Soni under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films. Prosenjit Chatterjee plays the roles of Subhas Chandra Bose and Gumnaami Baba.

Bibaho Obhijaanlit.'The Adventures of Marriage' is an Indian Bengali-language comedy drama film directed by Birsa Dasgupta and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni. The film stars Ankush Hazra and Bangladeshi actress Nusraat Faria in lead roles, and Priyanka Sarkar, Rudranil Ghosh, Anirban Bhattacharya and Sohini Sarkar in a supporting role. Eken Babu is a Bengali web series streaming on Hoichoi. The web series is based on Ekenbabu detective story which is written by Sujan Dasgupta. It's quite hard to believe Eken Babu as detective who actually looks like an ordinary Bengali man who earns a little by solving matters as a detective. Produced by the Eyewash Production season 1 of Eken Babu was released on 3 March 2018 With 6 episodes directed by Anirban Mallik. Later on 10 November in the same year hoichoi released the second season of the web series but this time the series was directed by Anupam Hari. The series stars Anirban Chakraborti in the titular role, Shoumyo Banerjee, and Debapriyo Bagchi in the main roles. The production company, Shree Venkatesh Films, announced, in 2021, that a film titled The Eken will be made for a theatrical release in 2022. After five successful seasons, Eken Babu will return for the sixth time in the web space in December 2022, as mentioned on 20 September 2022, at Hoichoi season 6— this time the centre of the adventure being Kolkata itself. Also, on 1 November 2022, SVF officially announced that The Eken is returning for its second installment in 2023.

The film, an official remake of the Malayalam movie Anjaam Pathiraa, released theatrically on 19 August 2021. The movie was released by the name Mukhosh instead of Psycho.
