Airport Mania: First Flight is a 2008 time management game, that was jointly created by Reflexive Entertainment and South Wind Games. The player manages planes as they come in for landings. The game shifts through eight different airports of play, and the levels have different challenges, including a presidential plane (which has to land very quickly).
Airport Mania was released on iOS in April 2008 and during that year reached the number 1 overall ranking in iTunes in 12 countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. [1]
A version was also made for WiiWare and was released in North America on November 29, 2010, and in Europe on June 16, 2011. There is also a version for DSiWare which was released in North America on April 25, 2011, and June 16, 2011, in Europe.[ citation needed ]
A sequel, Airport Mania 2: Wild Trips, was released on Windows, Macintosh, iOS, and Android in 2011.

There have been numerous Monopoly video games based on the core game mechanics of Parker Brothers and Hasbro's board game Monopoly. They have been developed by numerous teams and released on multiple platforms over 35+ years.
Pac-Mania is a cavalier perspective maze game that was developed and released by Namco for arcades in 1987. In the game, the player controls Pac-Man as he must eat all of the dots while avoiding the colored ghosts that chase him in the maze. Eating large flashing "Power Pellets" will allow Pac-Man to eat the ghosts for bonus points, which lasts for a short period of time. A new feature to this game allows Pac-Man to jump over the ghosts to evade capture. It is the ninth title in the Pac-Man video game series and was the last one developed for arcades up until the release of Pac-Man Arrangement in 1996. Development was directed by Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani. It was licensed to Atari Games for release in North America.
World of Goo is a physics-based puzzle video game developed and published by independent game developer 2D Boy. The game was released on Microsoft Windows and Wii on October 13, 2008, with releases on Nintendo Switch, Mac OS X, Linux, and various mobile devices in subsequent years. World of Goo has the player use small balls of goo to create bridges and similar structures over chasms and obstacles to help other goo balls reach a goal point, with the challenge to use as few goo balls as possible to build this structure.
Pop is a WiiWare and iOS video game by Australian developer Nnooo. The game was released in North America on May 12, 2008 as a WiiWare launch title, and in Europe on July 4, 2008. It was released by Electronic Arts in Japan on July 29, 2008. The iOS version was released on the App Store on March 5, 2009. The game was also released for the DSiWare service under the title Pop+ Solo.
LostWinds is a 2008 platform video game developed by Frontier Developments and published for the Wii as a launch title for WiiWare. In LostWinds, the player controls a young boy named Toku and the elemental wind spirit Enril as they travel Mistralis in order to rescue it from the antagonist Balasar, a vengeful spirit.
Swords & Soldiers is a 2D sidescrolling real-time strategy game by Ronimo Games. It was released in Europe on May 15, 2009, and in North America on June 8, 2009. It is available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android, Wii, PlayStation 3, iOS, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and Nintendo Switch. Two Tribes released Swords & Soldiers on the Wii U eShop, which was released in North America and Europe on May 22, 2014.
NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits is a game, originally released for WiiWare by Spanish developers Over the Top Games. It was released in the PAL regions on June 19, 2009, in North America on August 10, 2009 and in Japan on May 11, 2010. A demo of the game was released in North America on November 16, 2009. Versions for Windows and Mac OS X were released on September 27, 2010 through the game's official website and Steam. The game was ported to the iOS as NyxQuest on July 6, 2011 and to the Android on March 20, 2019.
Bit.Trip Beat, marketed as BIT.TRIP BEAT, is an arcade-style music video game developed by Gaijin Games and published by Aksys Games for the Wii's WiiWare download service. It was released in 2009 in North America, and released in Japan and PAL regions in the same year. It was later released for the Windows and Mac OS X through the download service Steam in 2010, while Namco Bandai published it for iOS on iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad in both Bit.Trip Beat and Bit.Trip Beat HD versions. Android and Linux versions debuted in the Humble Android Bundle 3.
JellyCar is the first in a series of 2D driving and side scrolling platform games developed by Tim FitzRandolph and released under the pseudonym Walaber. Initially released independently through Xbox Live Indie Games and later ported to devices using Apple's iOS operating system, JellyCar requires players to drive a car across a two-dimensional landscape while maintaining balance by means of accelerometers. The game features soft body physics that give it its distinctive gameplay and style. JellyCar's success led FitzRandolph's employer at the time, Disney Interactive Studios, to pick up the series and release two sequels for multiple platforms. As of December 8th 2022, FitzRandolph, now an independent developer, has released a new sequel, JellyCar Worlds, with permission from Disney.
Toy Story Mania! is a video game published by Disney Interactive Studios and developed by Papaya Studio for the Wii and PC versions and by High Voltage Software for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. It is based on the Toy Story Midway Mania! attraction located at Disney's California Adventure and Disney's Hollywood Studios, which was inspired by the Toy Story movie series produced by Pixar. The game features single-player and multi-player shooting-gallery style gameplay.
Machinarium is a puzzle point-and-click adventure game developed by Amanita Design. It was released on 16 October 2009 for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, on 8 September 2011 for iPad 2 on the App Store, on 21 November 2011 for BlackBerry PlayBook, on 10 May 2012 for Android, on 6 September 2012 on PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network in Europe, on 9 October 2012 in North America and on 18 October 2012 in Asia, and was also released for PlayStation Vita on 26 March 2013 in North America, on 1 May 2013 in Europe and on 7 May 2013 in Asia. The app was a number one bestseller on the App Store in 19 countries simultaneously on April 6, 2009 and has sold over 3.8 million copies. The development and publishing of Flight Control on non-Apple mobile phones is being handled by Namco under license.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I is a 2010 platform game developed by Dimps, with assistance from Sonic Team, and published by Sega. It is a sequel to Sonic & Knuckles (1994), following Sonic as he sets out to stop a returning Doctor Eggman. Like the Sonic the Hedgehog games released for the Sega Genesis, Episode I features side-scrolling gameplay, with movement restricted to a 2D plane. The player races through levels collecting rings while rolling into a ball to attack enemies. The game also features special stages in which the player collects Chaos Emeralds and online leaderboards comparing level completion times and high scores.
Edge is a puzzle-platform game developed by Mobigame for PC and iOS devices. The objective is to guide a rolling cube through maze-like levels and reach the goal. Originally released on the App Store in December 2008, it has been removed and re-added to the store multiple times due to a trademark dispute with Tim Langdell of Edge Games, concerning the use of the word "Edge" in the title. This had caused the game to be briefly released as Edge by Mobigame and Edgy, before ultimately returning to the App Store under its original name in January 2010. The game was released on multiple platforms including mobile phones, PlayStation Portable, Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. It was released on Steam in August 2011 by publisher Two Tribes.
Max & the Magic Marker is a platform game released for WiiWare, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, iOS, and Windows Mobile. It was developed by Press Play. The Wii version was ported to Japan and published by Marvelous Entertainment under the name Rakugaki Hero on April 13, 2010.
Zombie Panic in Wonderland, known in Japan as Zombie in Wonderland, is a frenetic third-person shooter for Wii released in 2007 by Spanish videogame developer Akaoni Studio. Zombie Panic in Wonderland was first released in Japan by Marvelous Entertainment on December 20, 2007, and a demo version was released on November 8, 2007. Soon after, it was released by Akaoni Studio in 2010. An updated version of the game, Zombie Panic in Wonderland Plus, was released on the iTunes App Store for the Apple iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad, and on the Google Play Store for Android devices in 2012, but was since taken down. Another version of the game, Zombie Panic in Wonderland DX, was released for Nintendo 3DS on October 30, 2014, for iOS devices on April 5, 2015, for Nintendo Switch on January 25, 2019, and for Microsoft Windows via Steam on November 6, 2019.
3D Pixel Racing is an arcade-style racing game developed by Vidia and released in 2011. The game was released as a downloadable game on WiiWare and in the App Store for iOS devices. 3D Pixel Racing heavily capitalizes on its graphical uniqueness. Unlike most 3D games, every object in 3D Pixel Racing is made of multi-colored voxels that are reminiscent of old 8-bit games from the 1970s and 80's.
