The Alamo Gulf Coast Railroad( reporting mark AGCR) is a short-line railroad headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. It is a subsidiary of Martin Marietta Materials, a spinoff of Lockheed Martin., [1] and began operation in 1996. [2]
The AGCR operates on about 6.75 miles (10.86 km) of trackage within the Martin Marietta Beckmann Quarry in San Antonio, Texas. The AGCR moves limestone and aggregates within the Backmann Quarry to form trains for the Union Pacific Railroad to haul out. Industrial operations are not normally considered railroads, but the AGCR is because, before the closure of the northern end of the quarry and the construction of The RIM shopping center, it served two lumberyards near Camp Bullis Rd. [2] when it previously leased the Union Pacific Camp Stanley Industrial Lead Subdivision from milepost 15 to milepost 22.54. What was the Camp Stanley Industrial Lead now ends at the edge of the quarry property about 3⁄4 mile (1.2 km) from where it began and has since had its ownership turned over to the AGCR. The tracks into the currently active quarry were built in the 1990s, then later expanded to form a loop in the mid-2000s.
The AGCR connects to the Union Pacific Kerrville Subdivision at milepost 15, about 25 feet from the Loop 1604 frontage road, after the bridge. The Kerrville Subdivision was originally built in 1890 by the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway, and went all the way through Boerne to Kerrville. It was later owned by the Southern Pacific Railroad, which abandoned the line past Leon Springs. [3] After that, the line past 1604 became known as the Camp Stanley Industrial Lead because the line went just far enough out to serve the warehouses at Camp Stanley.
Four locomotives are operated by the AGCR: #1 EMD SD40 (former MP 777), #2 EMD SD40-2, #3 SD40-2 converted into a yard slug (former CNW 6819), #4 EMD SW1500

The Northwestern Pacific Railroad is a regional shortline railroad utilizing a 62 mi (100 km) stretch of the 271 mile mainline between Schellville and Windsor with freight and Sonoma–Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) commuter trains. Formerly, it was a regional railroad primarily used for logging that served the entire North Coast of California, with a main line running 271 miles (436 km) from Schellville to Eureka, along with an additional portion of the line running from the Ignacio Wye to the edge of San Rafael. The "Southern End" of the line, including Schellville to Willits and from Ignacio to San Rafael is owned by SMART, while the "Northern End" was formally owned and managed by the now-dissolved North Coast Railroad Authority but is now saved for use in California's 2018 Great Redwood Trail Act, which repurposes the unused railroad right-of-way from Eureka to Willits for future use as the Great Redwood Trail.

The Kyle Railroad is a regional railroad line that runs from North Central Kansas into Eastern Colorado. It is based in Phillipsburg, Kansas and runs on 561 miles (903 km) track, mostly the former Rock Island Railroad Chicago to Denver main line. The Kyle was owned by RailAmerica from 2002 to 2012. Genesee & Wyoming Inc. bought RailAmerica in late 2012.
The Arizona Eastern Railway is a Class III railroad that operates 265 miles (426 km) of railroad between Clifton, Arizona, and Miami, Arizona, in the United States. This includes trackage rights over the Union Pacific Railroad between Lordsburg, New Mexico, and Bowie, Arizona. The railroad serves the copper mining region of southeastern Arizona, and the agricultural Gila River Valley. Primary commodities are sulfuric acid, copper concentrate, copper anode and cathode, and copper rod and other copper processing materials. AZER also handles minerals, chemicals, building supplies and lumber. The railroad offers a transload location for lumber, building materials and other consumer commodities at Globe, Arizona.

Chartered on June 6, 1903, the St. Louis, Brownsville & Mexico Railway was a 200-mile (321 km) U.S. railroad that operated from Brownsville, Texas, to Gulf Coast Junction in Houston, Texas. It served numerous towns and cities along its routes and operated a rail bridge between Brownsville and Matamoros, Tamaulipas, in junction with the Mexican government. The Brownie connected the citizens of Brownsville to nearby Corpus Christi for the first time on land rather than using water transportation.
