Albania sent a delegation to compete in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, from 4 to 20 February 2022. [6] [7] The delegation consisted of one male alpine skier. As Albania's only athlete, Denni Xhepa was also the country's flagbearer during the opening ceremony, while A volunteer served as the flagbearer during the closing ceremony. Xhepa participated in men's slalom and men's giant slalom. He ranked 28 in the slalom and did not finish the giant slalom.
Albania first entered Olympic competition at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. They did not make their second appearance until 20 years later in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and have competed in every Summer Olympics since. They had made their Winter Olympics debut in the 2006 Winter Olympics. [8] The delegation sent to Beijing in 2022 consisted of a single athlete, alpine skier Denni Xhepa. [9] Xhepa was the country's flagbearer during the opening ceremony [1] [2] [3] while a volunteer served as the flagbearer during the closing ceremony. [4] [5]

By meeting the basic qualification standards, Albania qualified one male alpine skier. [12] Denni Xhepa, an Italian born skier of Albanian origin, represented the country. [2]
