Ali Ahmed Al-Amri (Arabic : على أحمد العمري; born 28 December 1987) is a Saudi Arabian long-distance runner who specializes in the 3000 metres steeplechase.
He was born in Ta’if.
He finished tenth at the 2006 World Junior Championships, [1] and fourth at the 2006 Asian Games. [2] He also competed at the 2007 World Championships, the 2011 World Championships, the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Olympics without reaching the final. [3] [4]
His personal best time is 8:21.87 minutes, achieved in June 2006 in Algiers. He also has 8:14.86 minutes in the 3000 metres, achieved in August 2004 in Rabat; 13:56.80 minutes in the 5000 metres, achieved in May 2006 in Qatif; and 30:25.03 minutes in the 10,000 metres, achieved in July 2006 in Macau. Saif Saaeed Shaheen, formerly Stephen Cherono, is a retired steeplechase runner. He was born in Keiyo, Kenya but now he represents Qatar. He was, for 19 years, the world record holder for 3000 metre steeplechase. He is a two time World Champion in the event. His older brother Abraham Cherono is also a steeplechase runner.
Tareq Mubarak Taher, born as Dennis Kipkurui Sang, is a middle-distance runner who represents Bahrain after changing nationality from Kenya. His speciality is the 3000 metres steeplechase. His personal best time of 8:06.13 minutes is also the Bahraini national record, set on 13 July 2009 at the Athens Grand Prix Tsiklitiria.
Tariku Bekele Beyecha is an Ethiopian professional long-distance runner, who specializes in the 5,000 metres and has moved up to 10.000 metres as well. He is the younger brother of Kenenisa Bekele, who is also an accomplished long-distance runner and a former world record holder in both the 5,000 metres and 10,000 metres. Tariku is the fourth fastest Ethiopian ever over 5,000 m and 3,000 metres. His indoor 3,000 m best of 7:31.09 ranks him as the ninth fastest of all-time in the event. He was the 10,000 m bronze medallist at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Kayoko Fukushi is a Japanese long-distance runner, who specializes in the 5000, 10,000 metres and marathon. Fukushi represented Japan at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She was the bronze medallist in the marathon at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics. She holds a marathon best of 2:22:17 hours.
Ali Hasan Mahboob is a Kenyan-born Bahraini long-distance runner. He became a naturalized citizen of Bahrain ahead of the 2006 season. His personal best time for the 10,000 metres is 27:22.40 minutes, achieved in May 2012 in Wageningen.
Zhao Yanni is a female Chinese long-distance runner who specializes in the 3000 metres steeplechase. She won the gold medal at the 2007 Asian Championships, and represented China at the 2008 Summer Olympics, coming in 16th with a time of 10:36.77 minutes.

Iaroslav Mușinschi is a Moldovan long-distance runner who competes in marathon races. He represented his country at the Summer Olympics in 2000, 2008 and 2012.

Hamid Ezzine is a Moroccan long-distance runner who specialized in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He is a younger brother of the Olympic runner Ali Ezzine. He finished twelfth in the 5000 metres at the 2002 World Junior Championships, but then turned to the steeplechase. He finished fourth at the 2004 African Championships, won the gold medal at the 2005 Jeux de la Francophonie, finished fifth at the 2006 African Championships and eleventh at the 2007 World Athletics Final. Ezzine also competed at the 2005 World Championships, the 2007 World Championships and the 2008 Olympic Games without reaching the final.

Itai Maggidi is an Israeli long-distance runner who specializes in the 3000 metres steeplechase.
Yousef Ahmed Masrahi is a Saudi Arabian track and field athlete, who specialises in the 400 metres sprint. His personal best time for the event is 43.93 seconds, set in 2015, and is the Asian record.
Mohammad Mutlak Khalif Al-Azemi is a Kuwaiti middle distance runner who specialises in the 800 metres. His 800 m personal bests of 1:44.13 minutes outdoors and 1:48.93 minutes indoors are the Kuwaiti records for the event. He represented his nation at the Olympic Games in 2004, 2008 and 2012, and has also made four appearances at the World Championships in Athletics.
Mubarak Shah was a Pakistani long-distance runner who competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics. He is a double Asian Games gold medallist. Shah won gold in the 3000 m steeplechase and 5000 m at the 4th Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1962.
Mika Yoshikawa is a Japanese middle- and long-distance runner. She is a five-time national champion over 1500 metres and won the 2012 Japanese title over 10,000 metres. She has represented Japan at the Olympics, World Championships in Athletics, the Asian Athletics Championships, and the Asian Games.

Shigeyuki Aikyo is a Japanese former track and field athlete who specialised in the 3000 metres steeplechase. He was the gold medallist at the 1986 Asian Games and the 1985 Asian Athletics Championships. He was also a two-time Universiade bronze medallist and a two-time national champion.
