Andreas Bleck is a German politician for the populist party Alternative for Germany (AfD), and since 2017 a member of the Bundestag, the German federal parliament.
Bleck was born 1988 in the west German town of Neuwied, and attended the University of Koblenz and Landau with the intention of becoming a teacher. [1]
Bleck was a member of the centre-right Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) from 2010 to 2013.
In 2013 he entered the newly founded populist AfD and was member of the advisory council of the party youth organisation, the Young Alternative for Germany. [2]
In 2017 Bleck was elected a member of the Bundestag. [3]
He is a denier of man-made climate change. [4]
Bleck retained his seat in the 2021 German federal election, and is a member of the 20th Bundestag, which is currently seated.
Federal elections were held in Germany on 24 September 2017 to elect the members of the 19th Bundestag. At stake were at least 598 seats in the Bundestag, as well as 111 overhang and leveling seats determined thereafter.
Alternative for Germany is a far-right and right-wing populist political party in Germany. The AfD is Eurosceptic, and opposes immigration to Germany – especially of Muslims. The German judiciary has classified the party as a "suspected extremist" party, although it does not reject democracy.
Eberhardt Alexander Gauland is a German politician, journalist and lawyer who has served as leader of the right-wing political party Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the Bundestag since September 2017 and co-leader of the party from December 2017 to November 2019. He has been a Member of the Bundestag (MdB) since September 2017. Gauland was the party's co-founder and was its federal spokesman from 2017 to 2019 and the party leader for the state of Brandenburg from 2013 to 2017.
Alice Elisabeth Weidel is a German politician who has been serving as co-chairwoman of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party alongside Tino Chrupalla since June 2022. Since October 2017, she has held the position of leader of the AfD parliamentary group in the Bundestag. Weidel became a member of the Bundestag (MdB) in the 2017 federal election, where she was the AfD's lead candidate alongside Alexander Gauland. In the 2021 federal election, she once again served as their lead candidate, alongside Tino Chrupalla. From February 2020 to July 2022, Weidel held the position of chairwoman of the AfD state association in Baden-Württemberg.
Petr Bystron is a German politician. He is a member of Bundestag since the German federal election in 2017 for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Czech intelligent service BIS presented evidence in 2024 that Bystron was bribed by Russia to represent its interests in the European Parliament and German Bundestag. In a later investigation by German police they found evidence for corruption and money laundering.
