"Annie, Let's Not Wait" is a song by Guillemots, which appears on the band's debut album, Through the Windowpane . A re-recording was released as a single on 15 January 2007, featuring the Guillemettes, a trio of female vocalists who first appeared with the band in their appearance on Top of the Pops in June 2006, performing "Made-Up Love Song #43". [1] Promotion for the single included an appearance by the band on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross in December 2006. [2]

Hank Ballard

Hank Ballard was an American R&B singer and songwriter, the lead vocalist of The Midnighters and one of the first rock and roll artists to emerge in the early 1950s. He played an integral part in the development of the genre, releasing the hit singles "Work With Me, Annie" and answer songs "Annie Had a Baby" and "Annie's Aunt Fannie" with his Midnighters. He later wrote and originally recorded "The Twist" which was notably covered a year later by Chubby Checker, this second version spreading the popularity of the dance. The Wildhearts are an English rock band, formed in 1989 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The band's sound is a mixture of hard rock and melodic pop music, often described in the music press as combining influences as diverse as The Beatles and 1980s-era Metallica. "Into the Lens" is a song written by Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes. It was originally released in 1980 by progressive rock band Yes, of which Horn and Downes were a part, as a part of the album Drama, before being reworked as "I Am a Camera" for the 1981 album Adventures in Modern Recording by The Buggles, a duo consisting of Horn and Downes; both versions were released as singles, with the Yes single being re-titled "Into the Lens ".
