Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas-Haynes is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was discovered as a teenager and signed to Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. Records under Def Jam Recordings in 2002. That year, she was featured on Fat Joe's "What's Luv?" and Ja Rule's "Always on Time", two major hits of 2002. She became the first female artist to simultaneously hold the top two spots on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart with "Foolish" and "What's Luv?".
Heart is an American-Canadian rock band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1973. The band evolved from previous projects led by founding members Roger Fisher (guitar) and Steve Fossen, including The Army (1967–1969), Hocus Pocus (1969–1970), and White Heart (1970–1973). By 1975, original members Fisher, Fossen, and Ann Wilson, along with Nancy Wilson, Michael Derosier (drums), and Howard Leese formed the lineup for the band's initial mid- to late-1970s success period. Although intended for an October 31, 2000, release under the title All About U, the album was delayed numerous times, following the leak of several tracks onto the online music store Napster. Usher subsequently recorded new tracks and released the album under the new title, 8701, which is derived from Usher singing for the first time in his local church in 1987 and the album's US release date of August 7, 2001. The single "Can U Help Me" was supplied with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and later Windows versions to showcase Windows Media Player 11 and higher WMP versions.

Diana! is the first solo television special of American singer Diana Ross and aired on ABC on April 18, 1971. The special was choreographed by David Winters of West Side Story fame, who at that time choreographed all of Ross' stage and television shows. Michael Jackson performed Frank Sinatra's "It Was a Very Good Year", which drew laughter as its adult-themed lyrics were changed to fit his age.
