Nu jazz, also known as jazztronica, is a genre of jazz and electronic music. The term was coined in the late 1990s to refer to music that blends jazz elements with other musical styles, such as funk, soul, electronic music, and free improvisation.

It has become one of the band's most popular songs, despite never having been released as a single. John Linnell and John Flansburgh performed the song, backed by a metronome, for their 1990 Flood promotional video. Although it was released over a decade before the band began writing children's music, "Particle Man" is sometimes cited as a particularly youth-appropriate TMBG song, and a precursor to their first children's album, No!, which was not explicitly educational. The song is somewhat influenced by the theme of the 1967 Spider-Man TV series.
"Call Me" is a song by the American new wave band Blondie and the theme to the 1980 film American Gigolo. Produced and co-written by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder and released in the United States in early 1980 as a single, "Call Me" was No. 1 for six consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it became the band's biggest single and second No. 1. It also hit No. 1 in the UK and Canada, where it became their fourth and second chart-topper, respectively. In the year-end chart of 1980, it was Billboard's No. 1 single and RPM magazine's No. 3 in Canada.

Old Codes New Chaos is the debut album by the British group Fila Brazillia. It was released on Pork Recordings in 1994. The title comes from a line in the 1991 book Lila: An Inquiry into Morals, by Robert Pirsig: "Rigel's interpretation of recent moral history is probably a pretty simple one: old codes vs. new chaos".

Late Night Tales: Snow Patrol is a mix album compiled by alternative rock band Snow Patrol's members Gary Lightbody and Tom Simpson and released through Night Time Stories in September and October 2009. The album is the 22nd in the Late Night Tales series. It was recorded at Jacobs Studios in Farnham & Mayfair Studios in London, and was produced by compilers Lightbody and Simpson.

George is known for his soulful voice and his androgynous appearance. He was part of the English New Romantic movement which emerged in the late 1970s to the early 1980s.

An array of writers and artists have collaborated with ShyBoy, including: Emmy Award-winning performer RuPaul; hip-hop artist SlimKid3 ; Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Wendy Waldman; Saturn Award-winning writer Bryan Fuller; DJ and record producer Darude; and Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning songwriter Allee Willis. ShyBoy and gold-selling record producer Mark Nubar co-founded the band Hypnogaja and L.A.-based indie label The Spaceman Agency.
FabricLive.59 is a 2011 DJ mix album by Four Tet. The album was released as part of the FabricLive Mix Series. Hebden's two previous mix albums, for the DJ-KiCKS and Late Night Tales series, contained many different genres of music, but FabricLive.59 featured only electronic dance music, heavily slanted towards UK Garage. Hebden also used field recordings made at the club as part of the mix.
A.N.T. Farm is the first and only soundtrack album for the Disney Channel television series A.N.T. Farm. It was released on October 11, 2011 by Walt Disney Records. Most of the soundtrack features songs performed in the first season of the series by the lead actress China Anne McClain, as well as new songs performed by cast members Carlon Jeffery and Stefanie Scott, and China Anne and her two sisters, known as the McClain Sisters. The soundtrack was successful, spending five weeks on the Billboard kids chart in 2011. It sold 14,000 copies within the first week of release.

The DJ edit has a run-time of 2:53.
A Touch of Cloth is the 1999 album by Fila Brazillia. The song "The Bugs Will Bite" was featured in the 2001 video game Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX as the main menu music.
Between 1993 and 2000, a series of Ramones covers albums were released by Selfless Records, an independent record label based in Garland, Texas specializing in punk rock, on which bands influenced by seminal punk group the Ramones performed cover versions of entire Ramones albums. Under the Selfless label, Screeching Weasel, the Queers, and the Vindictives respectively covered the first three Ramones albums: Ramones (1976), Rocket to Russia (1977), and Leave Home (1977). Selfless then became Clearview Records and continued the series, with Boris the Sprinkler, the Parasites, the Mr. T Experience, the Beatnik Termites, and the McRackins respectively covering End of the Century (1980), It's Alive (1979), Road to Ruin (1978), Pleasant Dreams (1981), and Too Tough to Die (1984).
