Antoakrom, also known as Antoakurom and Antobiakrom, [1] is a small town in Manso in the Amansie West District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. [2] [3] The town is located 12 miles southeast of the district capital Manso Nkwanta, and it is situated at the junction of two roads that link it to Bekwai to the east and Kumasi to the north. [4]

Agriculture is the mainstay of the local economy. Cocoa has been grown in the area for a long time, other crops cultivated here include oil palm, maize, plantain, cassava, cocoyam, yam and rice. Antoakrom was a local administrative centre for the health service and cocoa production in the area since colonial time until its administrative function was moved to Manso Nkwanta. The town has a clinic and several banks. [4] The people in the area are mainly the Akans, some of its inhabitants are Northerners who settled here to farm after prospecting for gold found in nearby regions.

Kpassa is the capital of Nkwanta North District, a district in the Oti Region of Ghana. The Oti Region was part of the Volta Region of Ghana until 2019. The inhabitants of Kpassa are mostly Konkomba people. The other inhabitants are Basare. The Bassares and famous for their fire dance.There are also Akan, Ewe, Anufo, Krachi and Gonja people. In the past, the inhabitants of Kpassa have mainly engaged in farming. This trend has changed during the past two decades. Younger inhabitants are actively pursuing education and small-scale business activities, while the older ones are into governance. As a result, Kpassa has undergone rapid expansion during these past two decades. The town is expected to expand further once the Eastern Corridor Road Project is completed. In terms of architecture, a returning visitor will easily noticed that the town is rapidly shifting from mud buildings or atakpame to modern block buildings. In fact, most people in the town attach this shift to prestige and affluence in the society. At the current rate, one is expected to find fewer atakpame buildings a decade in the future. The economy of Kpassa is critical to the Volta Region, owing to its engagement in the production of valuable agricultural products such as corn, yam, cassava, millet, groundnuts, pepper, soya beans, and beans, among others.

Manso Adubia is a town in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. It is the capital of the Amansie South District. The town is known for the Manso Adubia Senior High School.

Tafo is a town in Kumasi Metropolitan District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana near the regional capital Kumasi. Tafo is the thirtieth most populous settlement in Ghana, in terms of population, with a population of 60,919 people. Because of the town's population and housing development in recent years, it is debatable whether Tafo is still regarded as a separate town, or already a suburb of Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region. The town is near Kumasi, with a distance of approximately 3.3 kilometers to the center of a similar name sounding village named New Tafo and must be distinguished from Tafo. Tarkwa is located just 4.6 km away from Tafo. The city center of Kumasi is located approximately 9.8 kilometers away. Tafo is one of the urban constituencies of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, the town's parliamentary candidate shall have one direct seat to the Parliament of Ghana

Datano is the most populous, and industrious town with the highest number of people in the Amansie South District.

Grace Addo is a Ghanaian politician. She was a member of the Sixth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana. She represented the Manso-Nkwanta constituency and is a member of the New Patriotic Party.

Kofi Amankwaa Peasah is a Ghanaian politician and a member of the first Parliament of the fourth Republic representing the Amansie West constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He represented the National Democratic Congress.
