"Any Love" is the seventeenth single by Japanese recording artist Misia. It was released on July 4, 2007 as the first single from Misia's eighth studio album Eighth World . [1]
"Any Love" is Misia's first release since switching record labels, from Avex back to BMG Japan. [2] [3] The single was released simultaneously with The Tour of Misia 2007 Ascension concert DVD and Blu-ray. [4] [5] The first press edition of the single comes with a bonus DVD, which includes the music video for "Any Love" and a special film documenting Misia's stay in Nairobi, Kenya, where the video and artwork for the single cover were shot. The A-side, "Any Love," was written by Misia, while the composition and production were handled by Sinkiroh. The song was inspired by Misia's visit to the Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya. [5] Coming from Ascension , which dealt with the broad themes of life and its origins, Misia wanted to write about something more familiar and close to home, namely love or everyday life. [5] After writing lyrics that seemed too perfect and lacking a sense of reality, Misia felt at a loss and decided to take a trip to Africa, a place she had long wanted to visit. [5] The culture and people left a deep impression on Misia which led her to rewrite "Any Love." [5]
In an interview with music site Vibe, she commented, "(the song) was done before I left for Africa, but when I came back I realized there was more that I wanted to say, so I rewrote the lyrics and recorded it over again. In today's society, it's hard to discern between "reality" and "truth" and I wanted this song to reflect what I think makes them different." [7]
When asked about the importance of the line "Honki de aishiteku" (本気で愛してく, "I'll love you for real"), which is repeated throughout the choruses, Misia elaborated:
When I came back to Tokyo, I was taken aback by the contrast between the world I had been living in and the world I had just visited. I didn't know what was real anymore. But as I got back to my friends and family and music, I realized that love is what makes it all real. It's what's needed to distinguish "reality" from "truth." The message of the song is that when facing love, you have to take it seriously. [7]
The B-side, "Soba ni Ite...," was also written by Misia and composed and produced by Sinkiroh. When asked about the song's message, Misia explained:
("Soba ni Ite...") speaks of a message I've wanted to express for a few years now. I think it's great that, with the Internet, cell phones, and e-mail, there are now a variety of ways for us to communicate with each other, but they've somewhat become substitutes for direct interactions. The reason people feel the need to be close to each other is because, as humans, we connect with more than just our eyes or our ears, but with our entire body. We can never be entirely sastified without meeting face-to-face. [7]
"Soba ni Ite..." was used in commercials for Kose cosmetics Sekkisei, starring Nanako Matsushima. [8]
"Any Love" debuted on the Oricon Daily Singles chart at number 8 on July 3, 2007 and climbed to number 7 the following day. [9] [10] It peaked at number 8 on the Oricon Weekly Singles chart, with 13,811 copies sold in its first week. [11] "Any Love" is Misia's first top ten single in three years, since "Namae no Nai Sora o Miagete." [12] It charted for five weeks and sold a total of 22,876 copies. [13] [14]

Go!Go!7188, also known simply as Go!Go!, was a Japanese rock band with influences spanning from surf rock to punk rock to J-pop.
The discography of Japanese R&B singer Misia consists of nine studio albums, three compilation albums, one extended play (EP), one live album, six remix albums, twenty-six singles, twelve promotional singles, eighteen video albums and thirty-seven music videos. In 1997, Misia signed a recording contract with BMG Japan and joined the then up-and-coming talent agency, Rhythmedia. Under the sub-label Arista Japan, Misia released her first single, "Tsutsumikomu Yō ni..." in February 1998, followed by "Hi no Ataru Basho" in May. In June, her debut album, Mother Father Brother Sister, opened at number three on the Oricon chart. The album peaked at number one three weeks later and stayed in the top five for eleven consecutive weeks. Mother Father Brother Sister was certified double million and won a Japan Record Award for Best Album, as well as a Japan Gold Disc Award for Pop Album of the Year. In 2000, Misia's second studio album, Love Is the Message, debuted at number one and was certified double million. It won a Japan Record Award for Best Album and a Japan Gold Disc Award for Pop Album of the Year. The album spawned three top ten hits: "Believe," "Wasurenai Hibi" and "Sweetness." Misia's first remix album, Misia Remix 2000 Little Tokyo, was released three months later and shot to number one. It sold over 800,000 copies and is the second best-selling remix album of all time in Japan.
"Luv Parade/Color of Life" is the fifteenth single by Japanese recording artist Misia. It was released on July 5, 2006 as the first single from Misia's seventh studio album Ascension.

The Tour of Misia 2008 Eighth World was the thirteenth concert tour by Japanese recording artist Misia, in support of her album Eighth World (2008). Comprising a set list of songs from Eighth World and previous albums, the tour visited arenas nationwide and spanned three months. The Tour of Misia 2008 Eighth World was simultaneously announced with Misia's Hoshizora no Live IV Classics summer tour in April 2007. The tour commenced in late December 2006 and concluded in late February 2007. Initially scheduled to run for eleven shows, an additional date at the Yokohama Arena venue was added as the final show. Sponsored by OCN, the tour drew an estimated audience of 150,000.

Soul Quest is the tenth studio album by Japanese singer Misia. It was released on July 27, 2011, through Ariola Japan. The album yielded three official singles, the digital exclusives "Edge of This World" and "Life in Harmony", and the sole physical release "Kioku". The lead track, "This Is Me", served as promotional single for the album.
Timeless Fly is the fifteenth studio album of Japanese singer Toshinobu Kubota, released on February 24, 2010. The album charted at number 9 on the Oricon Albums chart and remained on the charts for total of 26 weeks. The album sold over 16,063 units in Japan.
"Kimi no Soba ni Iru yo" is a song recorded by Japanese singer Misia. It is the theme song of the 2017 Warner Bros. Pictures live action film Fullmetal Alchemist. The song was written by Misia, with lyrics that portray the brotherly bond between the two main characters, Edward and Alphonse, and composed by Los Angeles–based Japanese musician Ichi, and Mayu Wakisaka.
