"Life in Harmony" (stylized as "LIFE IN HARMONY") is a song recorded by Japanese singer Misia for her tenth studio album, Soul Quest . [1] It was released as a digital single on September 15, 2010. A CD single was produced and included as a limited bonus on the Hoshizora no Live VI Encore 2010 International Year of Biodiversity concert DVD. [2] The four-track CD single was later released as a digital EP on November 10, 2010. "Life in Harmony" was the official song for the tenth Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10), [3] of which Misia was named an honorary ambassador. [4] Misia performed the song at the convention held at the Nagoya Congress Center on October 18, 2010. [5]

Composition

"Life in Harmony" was written by Misia, composed by Korean composer Hwang Hyun, credited under the pseudonym yellowRubato. The track was co-produced by David Foster and Jochem van der Saag. [6] The collaboration between Misia and Foster came about as Foster was looking for an Asian singer to participate in his latest compilation album David Foster Presents Love, Again. [6] After hearing Misia's voice, which he likened to that of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion, he decided instantly to work with her. Foster was so impressed with Misia that he hailed her as a "national treasure". [7]

Misia was inspired by the COP 10 slogan, "life in harmony, into the future", to write lyrics that reflect on the unity between all life forms. [3] The song was recorded in Malibu, California, on August 4, 2010. [6] [8] In late August 2010, the executive secretary for the Convention on Biological Diversity, Ahmed Djoghlaf, met with Misia in Japan where he listened to the song and requested it be made the COP10's official song. [3]

Misaki Itō, commonly known as Misia and stylized as MISIA, is a Japanese singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Nagasaki, Misia moved to Fukuoka at the age of 14 to pursue a recording career. Misia Candle Night 2016

Misia Candle Night 2016 was a concert tour by Japanese singer Misia and the fifth installment of the Misia Candle Night concert series. The two-date tour was held in collaboration with the World Heritage Theater project on September 10-11, 2016 at Kasuga-taisha in Nara, Nara to commemorate the Shinto shrine and World Heritage Site's 60th anniversary and the first Shikinen Zōtai (式年造替) ritual in 20 years.

Misia Candle Night 2014 was a concert tour by Japanese singer Misia and the third installment of the Misia Candle Night concert series. The tour began on August 23, 2014, at the Sapporo Art Park in Sapporo, Hokkaido and concluded on September 13, 2014, at the Sanuki Theatron in Sanuki, Kagawa. An additional date was held on November 29, 2014, at the Nakagusuku Castle in Kitanakagusuku, Okinawa, as part of the World Heritage Theater project.
