Araz Taqan (Persian : ارازتقان‎, also Romanized as Arāz Taqān and Ārāz Taqān)^[1] is a village in Nezamabad Rural District, in the Central District of Azadshahr County, Golestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 484, in 96 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Nezamabad Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Azadshahr County, Golestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 14,899, in 3,442 families. The rural district has 19 villages.
