Archie Barclay Mair (born 10 February 2001) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Championship club Norwich City. Mair has also represented Scotland at youth international level.
Starting his career with the youth teams of Aberdeen and Norwich City, Mair has spent loan spells at King's Lynn Town, Lincoln City, Dartford, Notts County & Gateshead.
Born in Turriff, [2] Mair began his career with Aberdeen, [3] before playing for Norwich City, [4] spending loan spells at King's Lynn Town and Lincoln City. [5] He was recalled by Norwich in January 2022. [6]
He signed on loan for Dartford in November 2022, [7] [8] and for Notts County in January 2023. [9] [10] [11] [12] Following his Notts County debut, he was praised by usual first-choice goalkeeper Sam Slocombe. [13] Manager Luke Williams said that his performance "was good, but of course he was involved in two moments where I think the decisions he made were wrong". [14] Mair was brought on as a late substitute for Slocombe in the National League play-off final, and he made two penalty saves in the shootout that won the club promotion to the Football League. [15] [16] [17] [18] Williams said Mair was brought on for the shootout as he had saved a penalty for the club previously, whereas Slocombe had not. [19]
In July 2023 he signed on loan for Gateshead. [20] Mair made 27 appearances in all competitions, before being recalled from his loan on 5 January 2024 in order to facilitate a loan move to EFL League Two club Morecambe. [21]
He has represented Scotland at youth international level, [22] including at under-21 level. [23]

The 2023 National League play-off final was an association football match played on 13 May 2023 at Wembley Stadium, London, between Notts County and Chesterfield. The match determined the second and final team to gain promotion from the National League, the fifth tier of English football, to EFL League Two for the 2023–24 season. The champions of the 2022–23 National League season gained automatic promotion to League Two, while the teams placed from second to seventh took part in the play-offs; Notts County finished in second place while Chesterfield ended the season in third. Boreham Wood and Bromley were the losing semi-finalists, while Barnet and Woking had lost at the quarter-final stage.
During the 2022–23 English football season, Notts County competed in the National League, the fifth tier of the English football league system; this was their fourth season at this level following their relegation from EFL League Two in 2019. The team was involved in an intense race with Wrexham for the league title and the solitary automatic promotion place, with the two clubs dominating the 2022–23 National League season, together surpassing previous divisional records for points, wins and goals scored. Though Notts earned 107 points over the campaign, Wrexham claimed the title by a four-point margin, requiring the former to enter a six-team play-off to determine the second promoted club. Here, the team overturned a 0–2 deficit to defeat Boreham Wood 3–2 in extra time in the semi-final. It then gained a place in the English Football League (EFL) by beating Chesterfield on penalties in the 2023 National League play-off final following a 2–2 draw at Wembley Stadium. The team fared less well in cup competitions, losing to Coalville Town in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup and to Maidstone United on penalties in the fourth round of the FA Trophy.
