A military academy or service academy is an educational institution which prepares candidates for service in the officer corps. It normally provides education in a military environment, the exact definition depending on the country concerned.

The Bangladesh Army is the land forces branch and the largest of the three defence service of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. The primary mission of the Army is to provide necessary forces and capabilities in support of Bangladesh's security and defence strategies including defence of the nation's territorial integrity against external attack. Control and operations are administered by the Department of the Army of the Armed Forces Division. In addition to its primary mission the Bangladesh Army is also constitutionally obligated to assist the civilian government during times of national emergency. This role is commonly referred to as "aid to civil administration".
Staff colleges train military officers in the administrative, staff and policy aspects of their profession. It is usual for such training to occur at several levels in a career. For example, an officer may be sent to various staff courses: as a captain they may be sent to a single service command and staff school to prepare for company command and equivalent staff posts; as a major to a single or joint service college to prepare for battalion command and equivalent staff posts; and as a colonel or brigadier to a higher staff college to prepare for brigade and division command and equivalent postings.

Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) is the training institute for the officer cadets of Bangladesh Army. It is located in Bhatiary, near Chittagong Hill Tracts, in the Chittagong District of south-east Bangladesh, about 13 kilometres north of Chittagong. The Academy is situated on the slopes of the Sitakunda hill ranges and the shore of the Bay of Bengal. Major General Anwarul Momen is the current commandant of the Academy.
The SAF Medical Training Institute is a military medicine training institute under the Army Medical Service within the SAF Medical Corps. As part of the medical corps, the institute oversees the medical vocational training for national servicemen and servicewomen under the Army, Navy, Air Force and the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
The Pakistan Navy Ship Shifa or PNS Shifa is a Naval medical treatment facility/hospital. Located on Defence Housing Society in Karachi, Sindh Province, the hospital a major and integral role in the History of Karachi. The PNS Shifa was established in 1953 by the United States Navy Medical Officers when the United States Navy first visited the country. In 1956, it was given the commissioned in the naval services of Pakistan Navy. It has two types of students: Medical Cadets and Army Medical Corps Cadets. AFMC cadets can become civilian doctors after completing the MBBS course, but AMC cadets should join the Army Medical Corps (AMC) of the Bangladesh Army.
The Indian Military Nursing Services is a part of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) of the Indian Army, first formed under British rule in 1888. An officer in the Military Nursing Services is granted Permanent Commission or Short Service Commission by The Honourable President of India. Initially part of the Indian Army Medical Corps, it was born in 1947 and served since Pakistan's independence in 1947. It is a vital part of Pakistan Army, serving in a support and military medical role. The corps also has a secondary role of providing civil services in health, rehabilitation and disaster relief to the wider Pakistan community.

The Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute, commonly referred to as AFPGMI, is a Postgraduate Medical Institute operated by the Pakistan Armed Forces. Its primary function is to provide graduate level medical education to physicians, surgeons, hospital administrators and nurses of Pakistan Armed Forces. It is headed by a Major General from the Medical Corps of the Pakistan Army.
