This list represents the list of serving Admirals of Bangladesh Navy. Currently the navy has 1 Admiral with 15 Rear Admirals. Historically, the Vice Admiral was assigned as chief of naval staff. However as of 2015, there is no Vice Admiral post ameliorated in forthwith.

The Bangladesh Armed Forces are the military forces of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Navy is the naval warfare branch of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, responsible for the defence of Bangladesh's 118,813 square kilometres (45,874 sq mi) of maritime territorial area from any external threat, the security of sea ports and exclusive economic zones of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Navy is a front line disaster management force in Bangladesh. The navy takes part in United Nations peacekeeping.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">M. H. Khan</span> Bangladeshi admiral (1932–2018)

Mosharraf Hossain Khan was a Bangladesh Navy admiral who served as the chief of the Bangladesh Navy from 7 November 1973 to 3 November 1979. After the Bangladesh war of Independence, Admiral Khan was appointed as the 1st chief of the naval staff of the Bangladesh Navy in November 1973 by the Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. During his tenure, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 10 December 1974 commissioned Bangladesh Navy's largest naval base BNS Issa Khan and also handed over "naval ensign" to Bangladesh Navy on the same day.

Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam is the first ever Vice-Admiral and Former Chief of Naval Staff for the Bangladesh Navy. He is preceded by Rear Admiral M. Hasan Ali Khan ndc, psc, BN and succeeded by Vice Admiral Zahir Uddin Ahmed (ND) ndc, psc, BN.

BNS Haji Mohsin is a naval base of the Bangladesh Navy. It was established after the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, and named in honour of Haji Muhammad Mohsin. The base is the principal logistics base of the Bangladesh Navy, and is located in the Dhaka Cantonment.

Rear Admiral Shah Iqbal Mujtaba, ndc, psc, BN is former chief of staff for the Bangladesh Navy.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed</span> Chief of Naval Staff of Bangladesh Navy

Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed was an admiral in the Bangladesh Navy and the former Chief of Naval Staff. He previously served as the Director of Coast Guard Operations and commander of Chittagong Naval Command (COMCHIT). He also served in Naval Headquarters as Director of Personnel Services and Secretary to the Chief of Naval Staff. Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) announced Ahmed's nomination to succeed Admiral Farid Habib. Ahmed began serving as the 15th Chief of Naval Staff on 27 January 2016.

Prior to that, he was the Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority. Earlier he served as the chairman of the Mongla Port Authority. Mohammad Musa is a two star military admiral of Bangladesh Navy and the incumbent Assistant Chief Of Naval Staff (Operations). He is the former Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University. Prior to that, he served as the Chairman of Mongla Port Authority. Previously, he was Commander of Khulna Naval Area.

Mohammad Mozammel Haque NBP, OSP, NUP, ndc, psc is a retired two-star admiral in Bangladesh Navy who served as the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel). Prior to join here, he was Commander of Chattogram Naval Area (COMCHIT). Prior to assumption of the Commander Chattogram Naval Area on 4 February 2020, he served as Chairman of Mongla Port Authority.

Mohammad Sohail (TAS), NUP, PPM, psc, BN was a former two-star admiral in Bangladesh Navy. His last appointment was Chairman of Chattogram Port Authority. Prior to join here he was Chairman of Payra Port Authority. Before that, he was serving as the Director of Submarine at the Navy Headquarters.

Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali is a two-star admiral in Bangladesh Navy. He is currently serving as Commander of Chattogram Naval Area (COMCHIT). Prior to this appointment, he served as the 15th director general of the Bangladesh Coast Guard. Previously, he served as chairman of Mongla Port Authority and before that commander of Bangladesh Navy Fleet. He also served as director of naval intelligence (DNI) at Naval Headquarters. He was elevated to the rear admiral rank from commodore on 25 January 2022.

Rear Admiral Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury (N), BSP, ndc, psc, BN is a two-star admiral in Bangladesh Navy who is currently serving as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel). Previously, he has served as Chairman of Payra Port Authority twice. Before that he served as Commander, Chattogram Naval Area. Prior to that, he was Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Logistics). He also served as Director of Submarines, Naval Headquarters, Dhaka.

Rear Admiral Golam Sadeq is a two-star admiral in the Bangladesh Navy and incumbent commander of Khulna Naval Area (COMKHUL). Before that, he was chairman of the Payra Port Authority. Prior to that, he was senior directing staff - SDS (Navy) at the National Defence College. Prior to that, he was chairman of the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA).

S M Moniruzzaman OSP, ndc, ncc, psc is a two star admiral of the Bangladesh Navy and the incumbent chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority. Previously, he was the commander of Bangladesh Naval Fleet (COMBAN). Prior joining here, he had been serving as the managing director of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation.

Rear Admiral Shaheen Rahman, NUP, ndc, ncc, psc is a two star admiral of Bangladesh Navy and the incumbent chairman of Mongla Port Authority. He also served as Commander Flotilla West leading the Western Fleet, senior directing staff (Navy) at the National Defence College in Dhaka, and Commander Khulna Naval Area, taking charge of a broad area under Bangladesh Navy. Additionally, he briefly served as the assistant chief of naval staff (personnel).
