The twenty-second season of Arthur started airing on PBS Kids in the United States from May 13, to 16, 2019. Jane Lynch made a guest appearance in the episode titled "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone." Roman Lutterotti took over the role of Arthur from Jacob Ursomarzo, Ethan Pugiotto stepped in for Christian Distefano as D.W., and Evan Blaylock replaced Max Friedman Cole as Brain.

Production

On March 28, 2018, Jessica Kardos, who voices Sue Ellen Armstrong, shared on Twitter that she and Holly Gauthier-Frankel, the voice behind Fern Walters, were busy recording new episodes of Arthur. They were still at it as late as November 2018.

Then on May 25, 2018, Bruce Dinsmore, (the voice of Binky Barnes, Mr. Read, and Bailey,) chimed in to confirm he had also recorded new episodes. He teased fans with, "we got lots more coming" and mentioned some exciting surprises ahead. He also hinted at a guest star for the season, saying it would be "an actress everyone would know."

The big news about Season 22 dropped on June 4, 2018, when Oasis Animation announced they would be producing four more seasons of Arthur, all the way to Season 25.

Finally, on November 16, 2018, Dinsmore tweeted that he had just wrapped up his "very last session" for Arthur. He later clarified that he hadn’t meant to make a big deal out of it and reassured fans that there were still "lots of new episodes coming."

    Bruce Dinsmore is a Canadian actor. He voices Tubby Tompkins from The Little Lulu Show, Binky Barnes and David Read from Arthur, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from The Secret World of Santa Claus and Greens the Frog from Mumble Bumble and has contributed motion capture and voice performances in numerous video games, notably as Paul Revere in Assassin's Creed III, Maximilien Robespierre in Assassin's Creed Unity, and Bill Taggart in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

    Arthur Holden is a Canadian actor and writer. Known for his roles such as Mr. Ratburn in Arthur, Baba-Miao in Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat, Mayor Mallard in The Little Twins, and Mr. Larkin in later episodes of What's With Andy?, he has also had roles in film, television and theatre, and has written for stage, film and television. Ars Poetica is a play that Holden wrote.
