This is a list of characters featured in the PBS Kids television show Arthur , it is based on the book series by Marc Brown.

Arthur is the main character and protagonist of the series. Other major characters include Buster, Muffy, Francine, Binky, the Brain, Sue Ellen, Mr. Ratburn, D.W., Kate, and Arthur's parents. Minor characters—such as Fern, George, Prunella, The Tibble Twins, Emily, and Jenna—have been gradually expanded upon throughout the series. Over the years, character roles and relationships have changed and expanded as episodes have developed the secondary and supporting characters.

<i>Arthur</i> (TV series) Animated childrens television series (1996–2022)

Arthur is an animated television series for children ages 4 to 8, developed by Kathy Waugh for PBS and produced by WGBH Boston. The show is set in the fictional U.S. city of Elwood City and revolves around the lives of Arthur Read, an anthropomorphic aardvark, his friends and family, and their daily interactions with each other. The television series is based on the Arthur book series written and illustrated by Marc Brown. Production on the series was first announced in 1995 by WGBH and Montreal-based animation studio CINAR, and aired its first episode on October 7, 1996. During its 25-season run, the show broadcast 253 half-hour episodes.

The Kids from Room 402 is an animated series produced by CinéGroupe and Saban Entertainment that premiered on October 9, 1999 on the Fox Family Channel in the United States, and on August 29, 2000 on Teletoon in Canada. It consists of 52 half-hour episodes, the last of which aired in 2000, with reruns airing until 2005. The series was also seen in Latin America and Europe on Fox Kids, with the latter region still airing the series after the Fox Kids channels were purchased by Disney and changed their name to Jetix; remaining on their schedule until the Jetix channels were once again rebranded as Disney XD.

<i>Postcards from Buster</i> Television series (2004–2012)

Postcards from Buster is an American children's television series that originally aired on PBS. It is a spin-off of the Arthur TV series. The show features Buster Baxter, an 8-year-old anthropomorphic rabbit and Arthur's best friend. The television series was created by Cookie Jar Group, WGBH Boston, and Marc Brown Studios.

<i>Camp Candy</i> Animated television series

Camp Candy is an animated television series produced by DIC Animation City, Saban Entertainment and Worldvision Enterprises, in association with Frostbacks Productions, with comedian John Candy providing the voice for an animated version of himself. Thirteen new episodes ran in syndication in the 1992 season, distributed by Worldvision Enterprises, along with repeats of the previous episodes. The series was later rerun on the Fox Family cable channel from 1998 to 2001.

Bruce Dinsmore is a Canadian actor. He voices Tubby Tompkins from The Little Lulu Show, Binky Barnes and David Read from Arthur, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from The Secret World of Santa Claus and Greens the Frog from Mumble Bumble and has contributed motion capture and voice performances in numerous video games, notably as Paul Revere in Assassin's Creed III, Maximilien Robespierre in Assassin's Creed Unity, and Bill Taggart in Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Arthur Holden is a Canadian actor and writer. Known for his roles such as Mr. Ratburn in Arthur, Baba-Miao in Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat, Mayor Mallard in The Little Twins, and Mr. Larkin in later episodes of What's With Andy?, he has also had roles in film, television and theatre, and has written for stage, film and television. Ars Poetica is a play that Holden wrote.

<i>The Electric Company</i> (2009 TV series) Television series

The Electric Company is an American educational children's television series produced by Sesame Workshop and developed by Karen Fowler. It is a reboot of the 1971 series of the same name. The series ran on PBS Kids Go! from January 19, 2009, to April 4, 2011 with reruns continuing on PBS until August 31, 2014. The series aired reruns on HBO Kids on HBO Family from January 1, 2016, until November 1, 2020, as part of HBO's deal with Sesame Workshop. On some services, the series is called The New Electric Company to distinguish it from the 1971–77 series.

<i>The Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog</i> Animated television series

The Mysteries of Alfred Hedgehog, also known as Les Mystères d'Alfred, is a children's animated television series created by Mary Mackay-Smith and Merilyn Read. It was produced by Gaumont-Alphanim and Muse Entertainment. The show follows three anthropomorphic animal pre-teens—Alfred Hedgehog, Camille Wallaby and Milo Skunk—as they solve mysteries in Gnarly Woods.

The ninteenth season of the television series Arthur contains 10 episodes. These episodes were broadcast in early 2015 on CBBC in the UK, and aired on PBS Kids in the US from June 2, 2015 to May 26, 2016. This season was produced along with season 18 in 2013, and is the last season to be animated by 9 Story Media Group with Adobe Flash, starting next season, Oasis Animation takes over, flash-animating it with Toon Boom Harmony. This is also the last season where William Healy voices Arthur, Andrew Dayton voices D.W., and Jacob Ewaniuk and Jake Sim voices the Tibble Twins. Mr. Haney retires from his official role after "Brain Sees Stars" due to Walter Massey’s death in 2014 as his character’s appearance will be reduced to a background cameo before his departure in season 20.

<i>Puppy Dog Pals</i> American computer-animated TV series

Puppy Dog Pals is an American animated television series created by Harland Williams. The series debuted on Disney Junior in the United States on April 14, 2017.

The twenty-first season of Arthur aired on PBS Kids in the U.S. from October 24, 2017 to February 15, 2018. John Lewis guest starred on the episode "Arthur Takes a Stand". This is also the last season where Jacob Ursomarzo voices Arthur, Christian Distefano voices D.W. and Max Friedman Cole voices Brain.

<i>Arthur</i> season 22 Season of television series

The twenty-second season of Arthur started airing on PBS Kids in the United States from May 13, 2019 to May 16, 2019. Jane Lynch guest starred on the episode "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone". Roman Lutterotti replaced Jacob Ursomarzo as Arthur, Ethan Pugiotto replaced Christian Distefano as D.W., and Evan Blaylock replaced Max Friedman Cole as Brain.

"Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone" is the first segment of the first episode of the 22nd season of the animated edutainment television series Arthur. It was the first episode of Arthur to feature a same-sex wedding, a depiction that resulted in two PBS member stations in Arkansas and Alabama choosing not to air the episode's premiere on May 13, 2019.
