As of the census [4] of 2010, there were 1,939 people, 761 households, and 546 families residing in the township. The population density was 38.7 inhabitants per square mile (14.9/km2). There were 944 housing units at an average density of 18.8/sq mi (7.4/km2). The racial makeup of the township was 98.4% White, 0.05% African American, 0.1% Native American, 0.25% Asian, 0.8% from other races, and 0.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.8% of the population.
There were 761 households, out of which 31% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.8% were married couples living together, 7.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.3% were non-families. 21.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 2.94.
