Austrosynthemis is a monotypic genus of dragonfly in the family Synthemistidae. [4] [5] Its single species, Austrosynthemis cyanitincta, [6] more commonly known as the turquoise tigertail, [7] is found in south-western Australia, [8] [6] where it inhabits streams. [9]

Austrosynthemis cyanitincta is a small, black dragonfly with blue markings. [7]
