Aviatour's Fly'n, Inc., operating as Aviatour, is a charter airline with its corporate headquarters in the General Aviation Area of Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Lapu-lapu City, in the Visayas in central Philippines. [1] It operates air taxi services and charter flights in the Visayas. Its charter service includes sightseeing tours among islands in the Visayas and Mindanao.

The company experienced two plane crashes in 2012. The first crash occurred early in 2012. One of its planes, a Cessna 172 aircraft, crashed in Mambajao, Camiguin, while flying tourists from Mactan in Cebu. [2] A pilot and a passenger were killed in the accident. The second accident occurred on 18 August 2012 which killed 3 including Jesse Robredo. [2]

Mactan is a densely populated island located a few kilometres from Cebu Island in the Philippines. The island is part of Cebu Province and it is divided into Lapu-Lapu City and the municipality of Cordova. The island is separated from Cebu by the Mactan Channel which is crossed by two bridges: the Marcelo Fernan Bridge and the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge. The island covers some 65 square kilometres (25 sq mi) and is home to some 470,000 people, making it the nation's most densely populated island. 2012 Philippines Piper Seneca crash plane crash in the Philippines

On August 18, 2012, a Piper PA-34 Seneca light aircraft with four people on board, including Philippine Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, crashed in the sea near the island province of Masbate, Philippines, while flying from Mactan to Naga. Robredo and two other occupants were killed in the accident.

Fil-Asian Airways, formerly Mid-Sea Express, was a Cebu-based airline with AOC issued by CAAP. It was formed in 2011 and ceased operating in 2014. Mid-Sea Express started as air charter operator and non-scheduled air taxi headquartered at Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City in Central Visayas, in the Philippines. As Fil-Asian Airways, its slogan was "The Asian experience". The airline was operated from major airports such as Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu, Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City and Zamboanga International Airport.

It is located in Lapu-Lapu City on Mactan Island, a part of Metro Cebu. The airport is managed by the Mactan–Cebu International Airport Authority. It is the world’s first international resort airport and is the main base of Cebu Pacific, Pan Pacific Airlines, and Royal Air Philippines. It covers an area of 797 hectares.

Transportation within Cebu City is mainly land-based with most parts of the city accessible by road. There is no existing mass transit but there is an existing proposal for a Cebu Bus Rapid Transit System and Cebu Light Rail Transit System.
