Cebu is a province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas (Region VII) region, and consists of a main island and 167 surrounding islands and islets. Its capital is Cebu City, "the Queen City of the South", the oldest city and first capital of the Philippines, which is politically independent from the provincial government.

Mactan is a densely populated island located a few kilometres from Cebu Island in the Philippines. The island is part of Cebu Province and it is divided into Lapu-Lapu City and the municipality of Cordova. The island is separated from Cebu by the Mactan Channel which is crossed by two bridges: the Marcelo Fernan Bridge and the Mactan-Mandaue Bridge. It is the busiest airport in the island of Mindanao and the third busiest in the Philippines after Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The airport has a single 3,000-meter precision runway.

The airline also had an agreement on selected routes flown by Air Philippines. PEAC was also an affiliate airline of TNT Airways, with PEAC operating TNT leased BAe 146 aircraft.
Cebgo, Inc., operating as Cebgo is a low-cost airline serving the Philippines. It is the successor company to SEAIR, Inc., which previously operated as South East Asian Airlines and Tigerair Philippines. It is now owned by JG Summit, the parent company of Cebu Pacific which operates the airline. Its main base has been transferred from Clark International Airport, Angeles to Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Metro Manila. On April 30, 2017, Cebgo planned to move out from Manila and transfer its main base to Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu City because NAIA has already maxed out its capacity.

Moises R. Espinosa Airport, also known as Masbate Airport, is the airport serving the general area of Masbate City, located in the province of Masbate in the Philippines. It is named after Moises Espinosa, Sr., the then-Representative of Masbate who was assassinated at the airport on March 17, 1989.

On August 18, 2012, a Piper PA-34 Seneca light aircraft with four people on board, including Philippine Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo, crashed in the sea near the island province of Masbate, Philippines, while flying from Mactan to Naga. Robredo and two other occupants were killed in the accident.
Fil-Asian Airways, formerly Mid-Sea Express, was a Cebu-based airline with AOC issued by CAAP. It was formed in 2011 and ceased operating in 2014. As Fil-Asian Airways, its slogan was "The Asian experience". Central Visayas is a region of the Philippines, numerically designated as Region VII. It consists of four provinces and three highly urbanized cities. Major islands are the eponymous Cebu, Bohol, and Siquijor, together with the eastern part of Negros. The regional center and largest city is Cebu City. The region is dominated by the native speakers of four Visayan languages: Cebuano, Bantayanon, Boholano, and Porohanon. The land area of the region is 15,895.66 km2 (6,137.35 sq mi), and with a population of 7,396,898 inhabitants, it is the second most populous region in the Visayas.
Mactan–Cebu International Airport is the second busiest international airport in the Philippines, serving Cebu City and its surrounding metropolitan area, as well as the Central Visayas region. It is located in Lapu-Lapu City on Mactan Island, a part of Metro Cebu. The airport is managed by the Mactan–Cebu International Airport Authority. It is the world’s first international resort airport and is the main base of Cebu Pacific, Pan Pacific Airlines, and Royal Air Philippines. It covers an area of 797 hectares.
Transportation within Cebu City is mainly land-based with most parts of the city accessible by road. There is no existing mass transit but there is an existing proposal for a Cebu Bus Rapid Transit System and Cebu Light Rail Transit System.
