The BYU women's volleyball program began its first year in 1969. The current coach is Heather Olmstead who is in her ninth season coaching the BYU Cougars women's volleyball team. To see the current season visit 2023 BYU Cougars women's volleyball team.
Since the BYU Women's Volleyball team has started in 1969 it has made 32 of 39 NCAA women's volleyball tournament appearances as of the 2019 Tournament. BYU has also made the postseason 42 years out of 51 years as of the 2019 Tournament. BYU has only had six head coaches since its first season in 1969.

The West Coast Conference (WCC) — known as the California Basketball Association from 1952 to 1956 and then as the West Coast Athletic Conference until 1989 — is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I consisting of ten member schools across the states of California, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
The San Diego State Aztecs are the athletic teams that represent San Diego State University (SDSU). San Diego State currently sponsors six men's and eleven women's sports at the varsity level.
The BYU Cougars football team is the college football program representing Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah. The Cougars began collegiate football competition in 1922, and have won 23 conference championships and one national championship in 1984.

BYU fields 21 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) varsity athletic teams. They are a member of the West Coast Conference for most sports. Other sports compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and as independents. They were a member of the Mountain West Conference from 1999 to 2011 and before the formation of the MW, the Cougars competed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the Mountain States Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference. BYU is set to join the Big 12 Conference on July 1, 2023.
The BYU Cougars men's basketball team represents Brigham Young University in NCAA Division I basketball play. Established in 1902, the team has won 27 conference championships, 3 conference tournament championships and 2 NIT Tournaments, and competed in 29 NCAA tournaments. It currently competes in the West Coast Conference. From 1999–2011, the team competed in the Mountain West Conference. On September 10, 2021, the Big 12 Conference unanimously accepted BYU's application to the conference, joining for the 2023–24 season.
David Jack Rose is an American college basketball coach and the former head coach of Brigham Young University's (BYU) men's basketball team. A graduate of Northbrook High School in Houston, Texas, Rose played two years at Dixie College in St. George, Utah, later becoming coach at the school. Rose then became co-captain of "Phi Slama Jama," the University of Houston's college basketball squad featuring Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon that finished as national runner-up in the 1983 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament.
Hugh Donald McCutcheon, a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, is a former volleyball coach. He previously coached the US men's and women's national volleyball team, and was the head coach for the University of Minnesota's women's volleyball team from 2012–2022. Starting in January 2023, McCutcheon is the assistant athletics director/sport development coach at Minnesota, after announcing his resignation from the volleyball team at the conclusion of the 2022 season.
The Charleston Cougars are the varsity intercollegiate athletic teams representing the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. The Cougars compete in NCAA Division I and are currently members of the Colonial Athletic Association. The university sponsors 20 varsity sports teams including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer and tennis; women's-only dance team, equestrian, beach volleyball, softball, track and field and volleyball; men's-only baseball; and co-ed sailing and cheerleading. The university's most successful sports are co-ed sailing, which has won 14 national championships since 1986, women's volleyball, which has qualified for the NCAA Tournament seven times since 2002 and men's baseball, which has qualified for the NCAA Tournament seven times since 2004.

The team is coached by Jennifer Rockwood and has made the NCAA Tournament 23 times, reaching the Quarterfinals of the College Cup four times in 2003, 2012, 2019 and 2021. The team plays its home games at South Field on the university campus.

Jennifer Rockwood is an American soccer coach, and the head coach for the BYU Cougars women's soccer team, a position she has held since 1989. She is the only coach the school recognizes since the club joined NCAA competition in 1995.
Aleisha Marie Rose is an American former soccer midfielder and Collegiate Assistant Coach who played for Brigham Young University and the US Women's National Soccer Team.

Heather Olmstead is an American volleyball head coach for the BYU Cougars women's volleyball team. In 2018, she was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association Coach of the Year. She also served as head coach of the U.S. Collegiate National Team in Japan and as the assistant coach at the 2015 Pan American Games. Her brother, Shawn Olmstead, coaches the BYU Cougars men's volleyball team.
The 2020 BYU Cougars men's volleyball team represented Brigham Young University in the 2020 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Cougars, led by fifth year head coach Shawn Olmstead, played their home games at Smith Fieldhouse. The Cougars are members of the MPSF and were picked to win the MPSF in the preseason poll. On March 12 the NCAA, BYU, and the MPSF shutdown the remainder of the season due to COVID-19, leaving BYU to end the season ranked #1 and undefeated in conference play.
