Badiangan, officially the Municipality of Badiangan, (Hiligaynon : Banwa sang Badiangan, Kinaray-a : Banwa kang Badiangan, Tagalog : Bayan ng Badiangan), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Iloilo, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 27,005 people. [3]

The Hiligaynon language, also often referred to by most of its speakers simply as Ilonggo, is an Austronesian regional language spoken in the Philippines by about 9.1 million people, mainly in Western Visayas and Soccsksargen, most of whom belong to the Hiligaynon people. Iloilo City, officially the City of Iloilo is a highly urbanized city on the southeastern tip of Panay island in the Philippines. It is the capital city of the province of Iloilo where it is geographically situated but, in terms of government and administration, it is politically independent. In addition, it is the center of the Iloilo-Guimaras Metropolitan Area, as well as the regional center and primate city of the Western Visayas region.
