The Baloncesto Superior Nacional, abbreviated as BSN, is the first-tier-level professional men's basketball league in Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1929 and is organized by the Puerto Rican Basketball Federation.

Raymond Dalmau Pérez is a retired Puerto Rican professional basketball player and coach. Dalmau played in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), the top tier basketball league in the country, for 20 seasons with the Piratas de Quebradillas. At the time of his retirement, at the end of the 1985 season, Dalmau was the BSN's all-time leader in points (11,592), rebounds (5,673) and assists (2,302).

He is a former head coach of Puerto Rico’s men’s national basketball team, Argentina men's national basketball team, and Panama men's national basketball team. Juan Báez , also known as "Johnny" and "El Indio de la Vía", was a Puerto Rican basketball player. He played from 1953 to 1969 in Puerto Rico's Superior Basketball League and from 1957 to 1961 with the Real Madrid basketball Spanish basketball team in Europe. In 1957, Báez was named the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) and points leader. In 2007, Báez was awarded Puerto Rico's top sports award, the Puerto Rico Olympic Medal of Honor. Báez was also inducted into Puerto Rico's Sports Hall of Fame.

Carmelo Antrone Lee is an American professional basketball player currently playing for Atenienses de Manati of the Puerto Rico league Baloncesto Superior Nacional and Ironi Ramat Gan of the Israeli Basketball Super League. Lee has played with the Guaynabo Conquistadores in the National Superior Basketball league of Puerto Rico, he played with Vaqueros de Bayamón from 2009 to 2012. Internationally he has played with the Guaros (Venezuela), CAB (Portugal), Regatas C. (Argentina), LNBP (Mexico) and Metros. In 2007, Lee was included as a small forward in the Puerto Rico national basketball team. In 2009, he won the Puerto Rico national championship with Bayamon.

The Osos de Manatí are a professional basketball team based in Manatí, Puerto Rico, that competes in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), the top division of basketball in Puerto Rico. Prior to 2017 the team was named Atenienses de Manatí. In October 2022 they returned from hiatus, when local Puerto Rican singer Ozuna had purchase the Brujos de Guayama and relocated the team to Manati.

The BSN Most Valuable Player is an annual most valuable player award of Puerto Rico's top-tier level professional basketball league, the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN), that is given to the best-performing player of the regular season. The award is decided by a panel of local sportswriters and broadcasters, each of whom casts votes. As of August 2023, the current holder of the award is Brandon Knight, of the Piratas de Quebradillas.
Darangelys Yantín is a Puerto Rican volleyball player. She was part of the Puerto Rico national team at the 2010 FIVB World Championship in Japan. She won the 2010 Puerto Rican League season championship with Pinkin de Corozal.
The Titanes de Morovis were a professional basketball team from Morovis, Puerto Rico, which played in the country's top pro basketball league, the BSN. They won their only national championship in 1987, defeating the 1986 champions Polluelos de Aibonito, 4 games to 3.
