Bannerman's sunbird (Cyanomitra bannermani) is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. It is found in Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Zambia.

Its scientific and common names honor the ornithologist David Armitage Bannerman. [2]

The 'Ngel Nyaki Forest Reserve, whose site is historically known as Majang, is situated on the Mambilla Plateau in NE Nigeria, covering 46 km2. The altitude ranges from 1,400 metres (4,593 ft) up to 1,600 metres (5,249 ft). Ngel Nyaki was formally gazetted a local authority Forest Reserve under Gashaka - Mambilla Native Authority Forest order of April 1969, but at present it is under the management of the Taraba State Government and the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), with the Nigerian Montane Forest Project (NMFP) as a project partner.

The Cape Verde buzzard is a medium to large bird of prey that is sometimes considered a subspecies of the widespread common buzzard. As its name implies, it is native to Cape Verde. Some taxonomists consider it to be a distinct species.

Bannerman's shearwater is a seabird in the family Procellariidae formerly considered conspecific with Audubon's shearwater.
