Baraghush (Persian : براغوش‎, also Romanized as Barāghūsh; also known as Barāqūsh)^[1] is a village in Alan Baraghush Rural District, Mehraban District, Sarab County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 974, in 242 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Alan Baraghush Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Mehraban District, Sarab County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 6,072, in 1,407 families. The rural district has 15 villages.

Mehraban District is a district (bakhsh) in Sarab County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 30,752, in 7,115 families. The district has three cities: Mehraban, Duzduzan, and Sharabian. It has three rural districts (dehestan): Alan Baraghush Rural District, Ardalan Rural District, and Sharabian Rural District.
