Baranlu (Persian : بارانلو‎, also Romanized as Bārānlū; also known as Bārā'lū)^[1] is a village in Tazeh Kand Rural District, Khosrowshahr District, Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,169, in 299 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Tazeh Kand Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Khosrowshahr District, Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 9,156, in 1,944 families. The rural district has 6 villages.

Tabriz County is a county in East Azerbaijan Province of Iran. The capital of the county is Tabriz. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 1,557,241, in 423,775 families. The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Khosrowshahr District. The county has five cities: Tabriz, Basmenj, Sardrud, Malek Kian, and Khosrowshah.
