Beam of Light is the second full-length album by the Japanese rock band One Ok Rock, released on May 28, 2008. [1] It reached No. 17 on the Oricon weekly chart, and charted for six weeks before it dropped out. [2]

Guitarist Oh Won-bin left the band in 2009 and was replaced by Song Seung-hyun. Former leader Choi Jong-hoon left the band and retired from the entertainment industry on March 14, 2019, while Seung-hyun left the group on December 31, 2019, to pursue his acting career.

This album brought ONE OK ROCK to worldwide popularity, especially after the first single, "The Beginning", was selected as official soundtrack in the live action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin. The song peaked at #2 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and stayed for 45 weeks. The next single, "Deeper Deeper/Nothing Helps", was featured on the DmC: Devil May Cry game and used for Suzuki Swift TV commercials.

SiM are a Japanese alternative metal band from the Kanagawa Prefecture formed in 2004. The band currently consists of MAH (vocals), SHOW-HATE (guitar), SiN (bass), and GODRi (drums). Their musical style mixes heavy metal, alternative, hip hop, ska, reggae, dub and punk with rebellious lyrics and songs with attitude.

Suchmos is a Japanese rock group formed in 2013. Suchmos was inspired by African-American music such as rock, jazz, and hip-hop. The band's name, Suchmos, is adapted from a jazz musician Louis Armstrong’s nickname, “Satchmo”.
