Obadele "Oba" Thompson BSS is a Barbados-born former sprinter, lawyer, author, and speaker. He won Barbados' first and only Olympic medal as an independent country by placing third in the 100 metres at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He is a three-time Olympian, and a finalist at each Olympics. His personal best performances are 9.87 seconds for the 100 m, 19.97 seconds for the 200 metres, and 45.38 seconds for the 400 metres. He has held the indoor 55 metres world record since 1997.
Justin Gatlin is a retired American sprinter who competed in the 60 metres, 100 metres and 200 metres. He is the 2004 Olympic Champion in the 100 metres, the 2005 and 2017 World Champion in the 100 metres, the 2005 World Champion in the 200 metres, and the 2019 World Champion in the 4 x 100 metres relay. In addition, Gatlin is the 2003 and 2012 World Indoor Champion in the 60 metres. He is a 5-time Olympic medalist and a 12-time World Championship medalist. At the World Athletics Relays, Gatlin won two gold medals in the 4 x 100 metres relay in 2015 and 2017. Gatlin is also a record 3-time Diamond League Champion in the 100 metres. He won the Diamond League trophy in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Leonard ("Leo") Myles-Mills is a Ghanaian former athlete who specialized in the 100 metres. He ran a personal best of 9.98 seconds for the event in 1998, becoming the first Ghanaian to break the 10-second barrier. His best of 6.45 seconds for the 60 metres is an African record. Myles-Mills twice represented his country at the Summer Olympics and also at the Commonwealth Games. He was a two-time NCAA Men's 100 m dash champion while running for Brigham Young University.

On 18 February 2022 it was announced that Hughes and his teammates CJ Ujah, Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake and Richard Kilty would be stripped of their 4 × 100 metres relay 2020 Summer Olympics silver medals after Court of Arbitration for Sport found CJ Ujah guilty of a doping violation.
