Cyril Chinedu Oriala (born 17 November 1981) is a track and field sprint athlete who competes internationally for Nigeria. [1]
Oriala represented Nigeria at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He competed at the 4x100 metres relay together with Obinna Metu, Onyeabor Ngwogu and Uchenna Emedolu. In their qualification heat they did not finish due to a mistake in the baton exchange and they were eliminated. [1]
Nigeria competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. This was the nation's thirteenth appearance at the Olympics, except the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, because of the African boycott. Nigerian Olympic Committee sent a total of 72 athletes, 24 men and 48 women, to the Games to compete in 10 sports. For the first time in its Olympic history, Nigeria was represented by more female than male athletes. Women's basketball and women's football were the only team-based sports in which Nigeria had its representation at these Games. There was only a single competitor in men's freestyle wrestling.
Uchenna Emedolu is a retired Nigerian athlete who specialised in short-distance sprints, particularly the 100 metres and the 200 metres. In 100 metres his personal best time is 9.97 seconds, achieved at the 2003 All-Africa Games where he finished second. This ranks him ninth in Nigeria, behind Olusoji Fasuba, Divine Oduduru, Seun Ogunkoya, Davidson Ezinwa, Olapade Adeniken, Deji Aliu, Raymond Ekevwo and Francis Obikwelu.

The duo rose to stardom and became overnight sensations in Nigeria for their performance in the film since its release. Since then, the duo have starred together in several films in the lead roles. Chukwuka Emelionwu who was the producer of the film was credited for creating brand characters "Aki" and "PawPaw".

He has featured in over 150 films in a career spanning over 20 years. He has acted in the role of a kid in most of his films during his early career due to his stature and physical appearance. He is known as Aki for his performance in the film Aki na Ukwa. In 2011, he married fashion designer Nneoma Nwaijah and the couple had their first child in 2012.
