Troye Sivan Mellet is an Australian singer-songwriter and actor. After gaining popularity as a singer on YouTube and in Australian talent competitions, Sivan signed with EMI Australia in 2013 and released his third EP, TRXYE (2014), which peaked at number five on the US Billboard 200. Its lead single, "Happy Little Pill", reached the top 10 on Australian music charts. In 2015, he released his fourth extended play, Wild, followed by his debut studio album, Blue Neighbourhood. The album's lead single, "Youth", became Sivan's first single to enter the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, peaking at number 23.

After independently releasing her debut single, "Somebody Loves You" (2012), and her debut extended play, The Movement (2013), she signed with RCA Records and later released her debut studio album, Take Me When You Go (2014). Her second studio album, The Valley (2017), saw the commercial success of her cover of "I Love You Always Forever", which peaked inside the top ten in Australia and reached the top of the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart in the United States.

Trophy Eyes is an Australian punk rock band from Newcastle, formed in 2013. They are currently signed to Hopeless Records. The band currently consists of vocalist John Floreani, bassist and backing vocalist Jeremy Winchester, lead guitarist Josh Campiao, and drummer Blake Caruso. He was the lead vocalist and founding member of metalcore band Issues from 2012 until his dismissal from the band in 2020 due to allegations of sexual misconduct. Carpenter began work on the album shortly after the release of her second studio album, Evolution (2016). "Between You & Me" is a song by Australian singer-songwriter Betty Who, from her third studio album, Betty (2019). The song was released as the album's third single on 14 November 2018. Who co-wrote the song with JHart, Pretty Sister and Peter Thomas Walsh, the lattermost of whom produced the track. A musical departure from Who's typically upbeat, synth-driven material, "Between You & Me" is an acoustic pop song featuring minimal production and prominent guitar instrumentation throughout; its confessional lyrics describe seeking romance from a friend whose feelings and intentions are unclear.

"Wasted Nights" is a song by Japanese rock band One Ok Rock, released as the third and last single from their ninth studio album Eye of the Storm (2019). Written by vocalist Takahiro Moriuchi with producer Pete Nappi and songwriters Janee Bennett and Jamil Kazmi, the song was released for digital download and streaming on February 1, 2019, by A-Sketch in Japan and internationally by Fueled by Ramen, serving as the theme song for the live-action film Kingdom released on April 19, 2019. Its lyrics encourage the listeners to live in the moment.

"Now That I Found You" is a pop song by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen. It was released as a double A-side single with "No Drug Like Me" on February 27, 2019 by 604, School Boy and Interscope Records, as the second advance single from Jepsen's fourth studio album, Dedicated. "Now That I Found You" was written by Jepsen, Ben Berger, Ryan McMahon, Ryan Rabin and Alexander O'Neill, while production was handled by Captain Cuts and Ayokay. According to Jepsen, "Now That I Found You" and "No Drug Like Me" are about "the giddy sugar rush of opening up to new love" and they "go thematically hand-in-hand".

Vincint Cannady, known by the mononym Vincint, is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known as a finalist on the first season of the singing competition The Four. He released his debut EP, The Feeling on February 14, 2020. Cannady later released his debut studio album, There Will Be Tears on June 11, 2021.

"All the Ways" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor. The song was released on June 21, 2018, as a promotional single for the initial intended release of Trainor's third studio album, Treat Myself, and later only appeared on its Target deluxe edition following the album's 2020 release. The song was serviced to hot adult contemporary radio as the lead single from Trainor's second EP, The Love Train, on February 11, 2019.
