Bhavani Sre made her debut as an actress through the 2019 Telugu webseries High Priestess , which was released on ZEE5. [6] In 2020, she acted in Vijay Sethupathi's Tamil film Ka Pae Ranasingam , which was her Tamil debut as an actress. [7] She sang three songs in the 2020 Tamil anthology film Putham Pudhu Kaalai . Based on a true story, the film follows Ariyanachi, a poor woman who strives to bring her deceased husband's body back to India from Dubai, battling the odds of political agenda, corruption and a treacherous bureaucracy that stand in her way.
Putham Pudhu Kaalai is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language anthology film, consisting of five short film segments, directed by Sudha Kongara, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Suhasini Maniratnam, Rajiv Menon, and Karthik Subbaraj. The film features an ensemble cast of Jayaram, Kalidas Jayaram, Shruti Haasan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Andrea Jeremiah, Bobby Simha, M. S. It released in Netflix on 18 December 2020, to mostly positive reviews from both critics and audience.
Viduthalai is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language period crime thriller film directed and co-produced by Vetrimaaran, who co-wrote the screenplay with B. Jeyamohan, under Grass Root Film Company and RS Infotainment. It is the first of a two-part adaptation of the short story Thunaivan (transl. Companion) by Jeyamohan. Set in 1987, the film follows a constable, who is recruited to arrest the leader of a separatist group. The ensemble cast includes Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, Saravana Subbiah, Chetan, Munnar Ramesh, and Pavel Navageethan.

It follows Kumaresan, a constable, who is recruited to arrest Perumal, a teacher and leader of separatist group. Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Ilavarasu, Balaji Sakthivel, Saravana Subbiah, Chetan and Munnar Ramesh reprises their role from the first film, with Manju Warrier, Prakash Raj and Surya Vijay Sethupathi joining the ensemble cast.
