Bimantara World Badminton Junior Invitation Championships

The Bimantara World Junior Championships was an international invitation badminton tournament for junior players. It was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 1987 to 1991. [1] Sponsor of the annually held event was the Indonesian Bimantara Group.

Contents

After the fifth edition of the Bimantara World Junior Championships, the event was replaced by the official World Junior Championships for badminton players under 19 years old by the International Badminton Federation.

Susi Susanti Indonesian badminton player

Lucia Francisca "Susi" Susanti Haditono is a retired Indonesian badminton player. Relatively small of stature, she combined quick and graceful movement with elegant shotmaking technique, and is regarded by many as one of the greatest women's singles players of all time. Tang Jinhua is a Chinese retired badminton player who competed at the highest level during the second decade of the 2000s, winning numerous women's doubles and occasional mixed doubles events with a variety of partners. She is a graduate of Hunan University.

Della Destiara Haris Indonesian badminton player

Della Destiara Haris is an Indonesian badminton player from Jaya Raya Jakarta badminton club. In the junior event, she was the mixed doubles silver medalist at the 2009 World Junior Championships, and also the mixed team and doubles bronze medalists at the 2010 Asian Junior Championships. She won her first international title in 2010 Indonesia International, and claimed her first Grand Prix title in 2016 Vietnam Open. Haris was two times Asian Championships bronze medalists winning in 2018 and 2019.

Muhammad Rian Ardianto is an Indonesian badminton player. Born in Bantul, Yogyakarta, Ardianto plays for the Jaya Raya Jakarta club at national events. In the junior events, he has collected two silvers and a bronze at the World Junior Championships, and also a bronze medal at the Asian Junior Championships. Partnering Fajar Alfian in the men's doubles event, they have won some international tournaments including the Indonesia International in 2014, 2015, and 2016; the Austrian International in 2015; and at the BWF Grand Prix level, the 2016 Chinese Taipei Masters. Ardianto was a member of the Indonesia men's team that won gold medals at the 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games. He also played with Alfian, and clinched the men's doubles bronze at that event in 2017. In 2018, Ardianto and Alfian competed on the BWF World Tour, and won titles at the Malaysia Masters and the Syed Modi International. She announced her retirement from the international tournament after the 2001 Korea Open.

Leo Rolly Carnando is an Indonesian badminton player from PB Djarum club. He was a World Junior Champions in the mixed doubles in 2018 and in the boys' doubles in 2019, also won double gold at the 2019 Asian Junior Championships in the boys' and mixed doubles events.

Nita Violina Marwah is an Indonesian badminton player from Exist Jakarta club. She was part of the national junior team that won the first Suhandinata Cup for Indonesia in 2019 BWF World Junior Championships.

Putri Syaikah Ulima Hidayat is an Indonesian badminton player from Exist Jakarta club. She was part of the national junior team that won the first Suhandinata Cup for Indonesia in 2019 BWF World Junior Championships.

James Anderson is a retired English badminton player. He was part of the English national team that won the gold medal in the mixed team event, and a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Anderson competed in the national event for Essex team.
