The 2020 BWF World Junior Championships, was a tournament that was to be the twenty-second edition of the BWF World Junior Championships. It would have be held in Auckland, New Zealand from 11 to 24 January 2021. [1] Originally the event was to be held from 28 September to 11 October 2020 but had to be rescheduled due to COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand. [2] On 22 October, it was later cancelled and the 2024 edition to be held in New Zealand. [3]

Host city selection

Auckland was awarded the event in November 2018 during the announcement of 18 major badminton event hosts from 2019 to 2025. [4]

Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo is an Indonesian badminton player currently ranked world number 1 in the men's doubles by the Badminton World Federation. He plays for PB Djarum, and has been a member of the club since 2007. He won the men's doubles titles at the All England Open in 2017 and 2018; World Superseries Finals in 2017; and at the Asian Games in 2018. He also featured in the Indonesia winning team at the Southeast Asian Games in 2015, and at the Asia Team Championships in 2018 and 2020. Together with his current partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, they were awarded the BWF Best Male Players of the Year for two years in a row after collecting seven Superseries titles in 2017 and eight World Tour titles in 2018.

The 2021 BWF World Championships is a badminton tournament which will be held from 12 to 19 December 2021 at Palacio de los Deportes Carolina Marín in Huelva, Spain.

The 2022 BWF World Championships is a badminton tournament which will be held in Tokyo, Japan.

The 2023 BWF World Championships is a badminton tournament which will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Yeremia Erich Yotje Yacob Rambitan is an Indonesian badminton player, who also plays for Exist Jakarta in the national event. He won the mixed doubles Junior National Championships title in 2016, and the boys' doubles bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in 2017.

The 2026 BWF World Championships will be the 30th edition of the prestigious badminton tournament of BWF held annually. It will be held in India in 2026.

2021 Sudirman Cup World mixed team badminton championships

The 2021 Sudirman Cup is the 17th edition of the Sudirman Cup, the biennial international badminton championship contested by the mixed national teams of the member associations of Badminton World Federation (BWF), since its inception in 1989. The tournament is played in Vantaa, Finland, between 26 September and 3 October 2021. China are the defending champions.
