Biswa Bangla Sarani is a 33 km long road in Kolkata Metropolitan Area, India. It starts from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and ends at Garia Kamalgazi. [1] The road passes through Kaikhali, Haldiram (Teghoria), New Town, Salt Lake, Chingrighata, Dhapa, Science City, VIP Bazar, Ruby, Kalikapur, Mukundapur, Ajoy Nagar, Patuli, Garia Dhalai Bridge and ends in Garia Kamalgazi. This road is known by different names in different parts of its way. [2] This road connects the Garia area of South Kolkata with Kolkata Airport easily through Salt Lake and New Town. The length of the road is approximately 33 kilometers. The road is of 6 lanes in New Town part and the bypass is of 4 lanes. Efforts are being made to upgrade the part of bypass into 8 lanes.

VIP Road is a major thoroughfare connecting the city of Kolkata with Dumdum/Kolkata Airport. Located in the North-Eastern outskirts of the city, it was built in 1962 to provide speedy connection with the city and its sole airport. VIP Road is part of State Highway 3. To reduce traffic jams especially in the crossings of Kestopur and Baguiati, a flyover is constructed over the stretch between Dum Dum Park and Raghunathpur, which opened in March 2015. Another flyover connecting VIP Road with EM Bypass was opened in 2011, reducing traffic bottlenecks at Ultadanga crossing. It is constructed under the oversight of WBHIDCO, along with different other government bodies responsible for implementation of different works inside the park. Line 6(Orange Line) is a rapid transit metro line of the Kolkata Metro in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It will connect New Garia with Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport via two major satellite towns of Kolkata metropolitan region, Salt Lake and New Town. It currently operates between Kavi Subhash and Hemanta Mukhopadhyay. This line will be one of the most important stretches of Kolkata Metro because it will connect the southern and the eastern parts of the city with Kolkata Airport. The total distance of this route will be 29.87 km (18.56 mi). It connects Line 1 at Kavi Subhash and will eventually connect Line 2 at Sector-V and Kaikhali and Line 4 at Airport.
