The Buenos Aires Underground, locally known as Subte, is a rapid transit system that serves the area of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The first section of this network opened in 1913, making it the 13th subway in the world and the first underground railway in Latin America, the Southern Hemisphere, and the Spanish-speaking world, with the Madrid Metro opening five years later, in 1919. Currently, Buenos Aires is the only Argentine city with a metro system.
Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground, which runs from Retiro to Plaza de los Virreyes, currently extending a total distance of 12 km. Opened in 1944, the Line E was the last completely new line to be added to the Buenos Aires Underground, until 2007 when Line H was opened. The line has a history of being re-routed and extended due to having been historically the line with the lowest passenger numbers on the network.

Plaza Miserere is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station is located between Alberti and Loria / Pasco stations on the A line underground. Plaza Miserere has interchange with Once underground station of the H line and connection to the Sarmiento line commuter rail service within Once railway station, the central station of the Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Railway.

Primera Junta is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground. It lies at the intersection of Rivadavia Avenue and Del Barco Centenera street, in the neighborhood of Caballito and connects with Caballito station on the Sarmiento Line commuter rail service. The Buenos Aires Historic Tramway operates tram cars on a 12-block loop of street tracks used by rapid transit trains en route to the Polvorín Workshop. The station was opened on 1 July 1914 as the western terminus of the extension of the line from Río de Janeiro. It served as the line's terminus until 23 December 2008, when the line was extended to Carabobo.
Pasco is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station belonged to the inaugural section of the Buenos Aires Underground opened on 1 December 1913, which linked the stations Plaza Miserere and Plaza de Mayo. Like the Alberti station, it only has one platform, which in this case only serves passengers traveling to Plaza de Mayo. The other platform is located just a few meters away, but was closed in 1953 since the proximity of Alberti station meant having so many stops in such quick succession slowed the line's frequency.
Sáenz Peña is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground. It is the last station of the line located under the Avenida de Mayo in the neighbourhood of Monserrat. Carlos Pellegrini is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. From here, passengers may transfer to the Diagonal Norte Station on Line C and the 9 de Julio Station on Line D and Metrobus 9 de Julio. The station was opened on 22 July 1931 as the eastern terminus of the extension of the line from Callao. In December 1931, the line was extended further east to Leandro N. Alem.
Avenida La Plata is a station on Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground located at the intersection of Avenida Directorio and Avenida La Plata, at the limit between Caballito and Boedo. The station was used as a set in the 1996 Argentine science fiction film Moebius. It was opened on 24 April 1966 as the western terminus of a one station extension from Boedo. On 23 June 1973 the line was extended further west to José María Moreno.
General Urquiza is a station on Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 20 June 1944 as the eastern terminus of the inaugural section of the line from San José to General Urquiza. On 16 December 1944 the line was extended to Boedo.
San José is a station on Line E of the Buenos Aires Underground. The old station San José vieja was closed the year the current station opened, after the line was re-routed from Constitucion railway station to its current trajectory. The station was opened on 20 June 1944 as the eastern terminus of the inaugural section of the line from San José to General Urquiza. On 24 April 1966 the line was extended further east to Bolívar.
Corrientes Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 6 December 2010 as part of the one-station extension of the line from Once. It served as the line's north terminus until the extension of the line to Las Heras was completed on 18 December 2015. From here, passengers may transfer to the Pueyrredón Station on Line B.
Córdoba Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground, opened in 2015. It is located in the junction of Córdoba and Pueyrredón Avenues, in the limit with Balvanera and Recoleta neighborhoods. It is near to the University of Buenos Aires faculties of Economics, Pharmacy and Medicine. The station was opened on 18 December 2015 as part of the extension of the line from Corrientes to Las Heras.
Las Heras Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground, opened in 2015. It is located near the University of Buenos Aires faculty of Engineering and the Recoleta Cemetery. The station was opened on 18 December 2015 as the northern terminus of the extension of the line from Corrientes. On 17 May 2018 the line was extended to Facultad de Derecho.
