Bonifika Stadium (Slovene : Stadion Bonifika) is a multi-purpose stadium in Koper, Slovenia. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Koper. The stadium is part of Bonifika sports complex, together with a smaller athletics stadium, indoor hall and an indoor swimming pool. The stadium was built in 1948 [3] and got its name from the city area where it is situated. In 2010 the stadium underwent a major reconstruction [4] and its current capacity is 4,047 seats. [3]

The Slovenia national football team represents Slovenia in men's international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Slovenia, the governing body for football in Slovenia. Ljudski vrt is a football stadium in Maribor, the second-largest city of Slovenia. The stadium has a seating capacity of 11,709. Sport Club Bonifika, commonly referred to as SC Bonifika or simply Bonifika, was a Slovenian football club. It has played in Koper until 2007, when it moved to Izola, intending to merge with MNK Izola. In the spring part of the 2008–09 season, the club moved to Sežana, but soon withdrew from the competition and ceased all operations.

The match was played on Wednesday, 21 May 2014 at the Bonifika Stadium in Koper, Slovenia and was won by Gorica who defeated Maribor with the score 2–0. This was the third cup title for the side from Nova Gorica and the first trophy they have won since the 2005–06 season when they were league champions.

The 2015–16 Slovenian Football Cup was the 25th season of the Slovenian Football Cup, Slovenia's football knockout competition. Koper were the defending champions, having won their third cup title in the 2014–15 edition.

The 2015 Slovenian Supercup, known as Superpokal Telekom Slovenije 2015 due to sponsorship reasons, was the eleventh edition of the Slovenian Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Slovenian PrvaLiga and Slovenian Cup competitions. The match was played on 5 July 2015 at the Bonifika Stadium in Koper between the 2014–15 Slovenian Cup winners Koper and the 2014–15 Slovenian PrvaLiga winners Maribor.

The 2016–17 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the 26th edition of the Slovenian PrvaLiga since its establishment in 1991. The season began on 16 July 2016 and ended on 27 May 2017. The official fixture schedule was released on 24 June 2016.

The 2016 Slovenian Football Cup final was the final match of the 2015–16 Slovenian Football Cup to decide the winner of the 25th edition of the Slovenian Football Cup, Slovenia's top knockout tournament. It was played on 25 May 2016 at Bonifika Stadium in Koper and was won by Maribor, who defeated Celje on penalties after the match ended in a 2–2 draw after extra time, winning its ninth cup title.

The 2017 Slovenian Football Cup final was the final match of the 2016–17 Slovenian Football Cup to decide the winner of the 26th edition of the Slovenian Football Cup, Slovenia's top knockout tournament. It was played on 31 May 2017 at Bonifika Stadium in Koper and was won by Domžale, who defeated Olimpija Ljubljana, winning their second cup title.

The 2018–19 Slovenian Football Cup was the 28th edition of the football knockout competition in Slovenia. The winners of the cup earned a place in the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round. The tournament began on 14 August 2018 and ended on 30 May 2019 with the final.
